Weight: 8lbs 7oz - big boy! I swear these babies are trying to kill me 🤣
Height: 20.5 inches - It’s crazy how just an inch makes him seem so much bigger than Beloved!
Head circumference: 32 centimeters - Got a little round bowling ball head that these little beanies won’t even fit on haha 🤣

Birth stories are always so crazy. This time I wanted so bad to not be induced because I thought that meant I wouldn’t need an epidural. I guess I will never know for now. Waited till 41 weeks to try to allow my body to go into natural labor and it just wouldn’t do it again. Had to go in on a Thursday to be induced and started the process at 10:30am with Cytotec. Was trying to avoid Pitocin because of how strong my body reacted last time. Got two doses of Cytotec then started feeling some serious labor by 9pm that night. Labored all night with contractions lasting 1 minute coming every 1.5-3.5 minutes. ITS CRAZY WHAT A DIFFERENCE HAVING A 3-4 minute break makes compared to just having 1 minute. I swear I would pass out a little inbetween every contraction. By 4am and only 4cm dilated I was starting to fade. I was trying so hard to do it with out an epidural but I was so exhausted and so weak I decided it was time to give in to the epidural so I could at least get some rest before the “really hard labor” began. Finally got 2-3 hours of sleep then it was time for the big job. Felt much more present and in control of the transition of baby into the world this time. Still had a second degree tear along my old one but just so happy to at least feel the process and like I had some control in it. Still was so weak and exhausted and could not have done it without my amazing husband and my loving doula @annemarie5r 😘. You guys are the best support team!!!

Note to self and others get induced in the afternoon so you can sleep while you wait for labor 🫠

1 month to 2 months!

All I have to say is this little man has already lived up to the name I feel like God gave him.

He’s had a bunch of minor health issues that have given his mama a heart attack! But luckily each time we keep getting him check they seem to be healing on their own 🙏 Thank you God for amazing bodies

He has been so sweet and mild with me. Seriously calm and patient, healing so much in my own heart that I felt so terrible about with Beloved. I was angry all the time feeling frustrated. Now I just feel the little blissful moments that everyone talked about with new babies that I usually didn’t feel before. ☺️ Mostly cause after my first I just felt very overwhelmed and felt like I wasn’t doing anything right, and probably wasn’t.

I am also SO grateful for how having this new little man has allowed me to see so much of my family. Another reason to get together and spend time together. I am forever grateful. 🥹 Aunties, uncles, cousins, and grandparents are the best.

Happy 4th of July friends! 🇺🇸

Note to self: Little ones are scared of fireworks 🤣

So grateful to get to spend 4th of July around family and cousins for Beloved. Now I know why my grandma always loved getting everyone together, it’s pure joy watching the littles play with one another. ☺️

Still can’t believe my baby girl is 2 ✌️

Beloved’s 2nd Birthday definitely was overshadowed some by baby brother’s birth. Navigating a newborn and a toddler has definitely been challenging. But more than anything it has made me reflect on how much I don’t want to miss a moment our daughter.

I think in some ways when Beloved was born I was still fighting not to lose my old life. But as Jesus reminds us constantly, in order to gain your life you must pick up your cross and lose it.

There is so many moments I wish I could go back and relive with more presence and gratitude. But I’m here now. I’m so grateful for my sweet baby girl and how she has changed my life.

My only hope now is that I would to continue to find gratitude for each season of life with our little Belle.

We love you baby girl. I hope you always know and feel that from us ❤️ by @essence_florie

Saltwater hearts 💙💚🩵🤍

This little family. I don’t say it enough but I am so grateful for this blessing. I used to only be only obsessed with what I could do and what I could accomplish. Now I see how much we as humans were built for community and how much healing can be done in the confines of a beautiful marriage and family. May I never take it for granted.

Thank you for this family. For how they help me grow into the person I was meant to be. And for the love they provide.

Still just waiting for this little boy to arrive 🐣

Not going to lie, this has been one painful waiting and longing game. With Beloved, I was induced, and all I wanted this time was to not be induced. I have a clock counting down till Monday. After that I have to make my appointment to be induced….I’m still praying that all will work out with what I want and long for. But at the end of the day, I know that we don’t always get what we want. Just trying to trust, just like in the past, when we don’t get what we want, sometimes it’s for the best.

Hoping I can experience this naturally but if not. Not my will but Yours be done. 🙏

A huge thank you for @doodeitsnat and @jonthewookie for capturing these last few moments as a family of 3! So many more amazing photos to come! Jon, you may normally only capture wildlife and nature, but when I told you to just think of me as a fat bird I would say you killed it! You seriously outdid yourself!
