Burgundy tones, soft light, and such a lovely afternoon in the studio. by @essential_esthe

One of the most common things I see in dry clients is their hesitation to exfoliate at home. If you have a dry skin type, dry brushing the body and exfoliation are a must!

Using a combination of manual and gentle chemical exfoliation reduces texture, rough patches and uneven tone. Dry brush gently upwards towards your heart 🤍

A few tips I’ve learned: ⬇️⬇️⬇️

1. Opt for a moisturizing sunscreen, the spf 20 in your moisturizer is not enough. Top with a tinted spf or foundation that has spf as well because the ozone layer is still healing babes. 🌎

2. Breakouts in the same area for 3 weeks straight is not purging, it’s a follicle that’s screaming for relief. Check with your esthetician if it’s lifestyle or a potential pore clogging product. 😇

3. Tingling? Fine. Burning? No m’am, no ham, no turkey. Your barrier needs gentle support for at least 14 days before you introduce another acid, enzyme or “renewing” product. Slowly incorporate recommended products by your esthetician or dermatologist and follow their instructions for usage. 🙂‍↕️

Little look to say good bye to July 🌞 by @essential_esthe

These have been my holy grails when dealing with follicular occlusions or poor shedding of skin cells!
If you feel like you’re still consistently seeing breakouts, you may be only treating one part of the puzzle. How often you exfoliate and turn over your skin cells is integral to wound healing and achieving healthier skin. You don’t just want to treat acne, but also prevent it.
Having a balanced skin barrier is the only way your skin will heal correctly when using actives. So following the guided suggested home care of your trusted esthetician or dermatologist will provide you with the most optimal results.

Some things to consider when you’re experiencing breakouts or have persistent acne.

. Everyone’s skin is different and narrowing down what’s causing your acne can be overwhelming. Trusting a professional to hone in on the root cause can help alleviate confusion, save you money and relax in the process. 🤍🧖🏽‍♀️🌸
