little miss did it in 3 years..

in three days i will graduating from thee illustrious morgan state university with my bachelors of science in psychology. from the very first moment i stepped onto this campus, i knew i was walking into a transformation much bigger than myself. somewhere between the late nights, the tears, the prayers, the deadlines, the laughter, the friendships, the losses, and the lessons, i became a woman who learned how to persevere even when life became heavy. a woman who discovered her voice, her purpose, & her strength in places she never expected.

to my chosen family, thank you for loving me through every version of myself and helping shape me into the woman i am today. thank you for being the people who stood beside me during the moments no one else saw… the breakdowns, the doubts, the exhaustion, the victories, & the quiet moments all in between. family has never only been about blood to me. for me, family become the people who choose you intentionally, over and over again. the people who become home without even realizing it. and somehow, in this lifetime, i was lucky enough to find that kind of love in all of you. a piece of each of you exists in the woman i have become, and i will carry that with me forever.
