where we live — hailing from the midwest, our home-base is now in the south & travels have us feeling more like friends with the world.

family — we always leave the door open for miracles to walk-through & know that even though it is a mystery to us, one day we will understand the trials of it & like everything, it will be explained in divine timing.

in the meantime, we’re healing, growing & working out better ways to live & thrive & not feel in a slingshot of survival mode in pace & feelings. we’re humans like you & know we are forever ‘in progress’.

mantra time:
be present. be patient. be cinnamon. 🧡♥️—esso

last year, this fun mantra came to me in a much needed personal peptalk moment — & it felt like the perfect time to give it a little update & voice.

& here is the deeper dive backstory:

poetic birth of a mantra :: in the middle of a moment, where you get sent back to start of the monopoly game, no passing go, no collecting $200, so, you coach yourself through that moment & how to reframe your frustration, all whilst making your fave cold brew concoction, & a lovely mantra was born—it just flowed in that moment & it has been my close companion ever since. may it bring you some sweetness in your journey as well.

be present. invites you to stay present with yourself & your journey. take notice—soak it in, there is magic here in the moment you’re in.

be patient. invites you to be patient with yourself, even when it seems the journey is constantly restarting, when you feel or wonder is anything happening, yes, yes—it is, you are growing every step of the way into your dreams.

be cinnamon - invites you to unapologetically be you, stay you, in the waiting game, in the growing game. stay true to your fabulousness-your spices-your cinnamon.

Sun-Tue :: Scorpio—Where we wrap love around our truths, protecting it & start walking the talk of how we want to relate to ourselves daily. Draw loving boundaries. Go gently. Add in time with yourself for processing & assimilation as we start the new cycle. Quiet time, soak in a tub or foot bath are therapeutic during this energy.

Tue-Fri :: Sagittarius—Pay attention to your surroundings & delete energy draining sounds, items, etc to foster a cleaner connection to your true heart based beliefs & potential. Use play & upbeat music to connect to your heart & keep you grounded as you start out on a new path of beliefs around being able to be loving to yourself while pursuing your goals.

Fri-Sun :: Capricorn—Get out in nature & add in breath breaks to keep feeling balanced & loved to take steady small steps forward. We’re looking for the blend of loving ourselves as a theme throughout every day & not reserved for once a week, as we’re being called to use that as our fuel for our goals & journey—enjoying both, not just the end result.

Sun-Wed :: Aquarius—Keep balance as we deepen our trust in ourselves & in life that we can have sweetness in the journey & our achievements. Sweetness in being our whole selves. Affirmations, sound baths, creative time all can bring us to center as we keep navigating our heart’s compass to harmony with our own belonging.

Sun-Tue :: Leo—Calling us inward to our own lion-heart for reflection on our true value & how it is truly mirrored first & foremost by our own loving or lack-of-loving gaze—our beauty & our pain both deserve our sweet love & understanding. Add in quiet time for this inner conversation & gift affirmations, movement & play to keep the energy flowing versus collapsing on you.

Tue-Thu :: Virgo—What did our hearts say? Integrity is calling us here to get grounded & harmonize to our heart’s truth. Zoom out for perspective—zoom in for perspective—let the information feed present actions. Breath breaks, walks in nature, coloring anyone? Extra rest & recharge time may be needed. When in doubt add in more love & snacks of play to keep energy feeling fruitful versus overwhelming.

Fri-Sun :: Libra—New Moon—Attune our senses & faith to our hearts. Embracing new vows & a deeper relationship to self for the next year. Release any old vows/beliefs if they are hanging on & clogging up energy flow. This new moon is asking for our devotion to our truths—the dark & the light of them, to keep us in more loving balance with our own self-trust, self-love, self-value. Sound baths, affirmations, alone time, journaling, create art &/or go enjoy art & beauty in all its forms—these activities can help navigate intensities.

Affirm :: Devotion to ‘me’ builds the strong foundation for the ‘we’.

Wed-Fri :: Gemini—Now, how can I turn these new truths into loving mantras? How do I balance critical thinking with curiosity & care? Take note & have fun with it. We decide what gets our focus. Sound baths, affirmations & upbeat music will help cheer on—apply generously.

Fri-Mon :: Cancer—Last Quarter Moon—How can I lovingly protect time with my feelings to refresh & reset the energy in my ‘crab-shell’ (aka my inner home)?
