walking through St. Peter’s Square 🇻🇦

St. Peter’s Square 🇻🇦

being a passenger princess on my wedding day!

trevi fountain! ⛲️ 🪙 our wishes came true!

Wedding Cake! Flavors were almond cake with a raspberry jam filling to channel the flavors of a New York Italian rainbow cookie! The cute little cake topper is actually one of my Gram’s figurines 🍰

outfit change! Veil off, puffy sleeves on!

went to the zoo on our wedding day because we went to the zoo on our first date! 🦒

@sjurome thank you for being the reason Nick & I met & putting us in the green group together 7 years ago! Visiting SJU Rome’s campus on our actual wedding day was the perfect tribute… even sweeter because my dad graduated from SJU Staten Island ❤️

the centerpiece design incorporated real fruit to emulate a gluttonous feast. Real grapes, pears, & figs adorned the table with the antipasti plates served in between so our family could truly indulge 🍐🍇🫒🧀🍷🥖🕯️

making sure to stop & eat some good old arancini

ciao!!!! xoxoxoxo

actually couldn’t love walking around hearing strangers cheer “auguri” and clapping for us & stopping us to ask for photos more!!!

makeup touch up in the streets of Rome literally felt so natural to me lol taken in Rome, Italy by @essselllefff

note: the Blessed Mother was a big inspiration when planning our wedding ceremony. Our church was dedicated to St. Anne, Mary’s mother. The bridal entrance music was Ave Maria (Schubert) performed live. Lastly, the veil was heavily inspired by Mary’s veil, and was custom designed to ensure my shoulders, chest, and back were properly covered for mass. 💙

note: The little pearls on the end of the veil tie and holding the dangle bead are from Nick’s great-grandmother’s veil, and served as my something old. The pear shaped pearl was added because I felt the dress needed it, but what makes it special is that it was a thrift find in the junk drawer of a store next to Kleinfeld 2 days before my final fitting!
