this summer i have found deeper understanding of the scripture in Isaiah 61:3

beauty for ashes
joy for mourning
praise for heaviness

“how can I possibly find joy in mourning
how can there be beauty in despair”
i remember asking this question
it rang in my head

the longing of my heart is to be close to the One who knit me. to feel His peace clothe me.

this is what i know to be true
Jesus is the only constant
this is the side of Him i never thought i needed but now i will not live without it

the answer to my question is this, i chose to make a heavenly exchange.
there is a beauty you find in the mess. a joy you wouldn’t know unless you went through the journey. a praise you can’t help but give because He is deserving of all glory

Be still and know that He is God

If you know me AT ALL you know how much I love a huge dance party for Jesus!! Let me tell you, God really moved in that room!! Every leader covered each student in prayer.

on may 13th, i graduated from the best college in the whole world. to think two years have passed is crazy. i am grateful for every moment as an HC student that pushed me to grow into who i am today. i have been marked forever by every leader and friendship i have made. i will never forget all that i have learned and what God did in the past two years. to all my friends i will always treasure the moments we’ve made in my heart forever. one whole chapter of our journey has closed, and a new one awaits.
