POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

As some of you know, Marduk was the first BM band who I photographed officially in a club. At the time I had the toughest time with all the smoke, even gaining focus was difficult. The drummer would simply vanish after stepping behind the drumkit.
I think this must've been where my love for 'difficult' lighting shows must've been born. Navigating around the smoke and dealing with completely colour-saturated pictures. Finding angles to get better light. I like the challenge.

I loved photographing them in two major venues here in the Benelux during the Death Over Europe tour.

Here are my selections of Liege and Utrecht. Utrecht was a polished venue and there was little smoke. Most photos I took there, I gave a cleaner look. Liege was different. The areas behind the stage where we took photos, were a bit gritty looking and in particular the abandoned dressing/bathroom, downstairs, looked very eerie to me. There was a lot of smoke during the show!
