Untangling the love pentagon 💘

In Ariodante, intertwined affections spark doubts, disguises and the kind of confusion only baroque drama can deliver.

@jacquelynstucker and @esvillalon unravel the tangle of crushes and offer a glimpse into the chaos at the heart of Handel’s story.

🎟️ See Ariodante on our Main Stage 9-21 Dec.

The stars aligned in more ways than one - making my debut tonight as Gilda @santafeopera, under the open sky, in a piece that is both challenging and moving. Cannot wait to share this work with audiences the rest of the summer!!!!

A very happy soprano this Saturday on occasion of my @wigmore_hall recital debut with the incomparable @james_baillieu!!!

A fun fact about this place of lieder legend is that there are signed photos of every major artist who has performed here in the last hundred years 😅, no pressure!!! by @esvillalon

A long awaited dream role debut tonight @oper_frankfurt - Sophie in Der Rosenkavalier! The days are perfect with spring here and so is this music - so looking forward to this run!! by @esvillalon

Call it a rebrand. Call it a resurrection. Either way, I’m back on Insta. I know you’ve been lost without me!!! 😜

Back to posting more regularly…. Here are some highlights from the past year, what a privilege to make music and theatre with the people and places I get to work with and at! by @esvillalon

Tonight I make my Metropolitan Opera debut as Amore in Orfeo and Eurydice!!!

This debut is particularly momentous, being able to sing in one of the worlds greatest opera houses in my home country. Excitement for the opportunity to sing at this opera house is an understatement.

The exceptional level of quality and professionalism of every person at this company has made this process a joy and inspiration, I am humbled to be counted among them tonight!!!!!!! Thank you to all of you for your support and encouragement, I feel supremely lucky this is my job!

This last month after operalia, took a once in a lifetime trip through South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Zambia for a few weeks with my friend @lukersutliff!!! A few clips of our epic journey…

P.S., I don’t recommend cage diving with sharks 6 hours after Operalia finals, but I also do recommend cage diving with sharks 6 hours after operalia finals.

This week, Messiah and Ein Deutsches Requiem in Pittsburgh!

For those unable to tune in, here is the aria I sung in the finals, “A vos jeux, mes amis”, from Thomas’ Hamlet; conducted fabulously, with many thanks, by @kamalkhanopera!
