I LOVE OUR FUNKY FARMHOUSE!

We spent the weekend here and I’ve got to say I don’t really want to go home today…

#renodiary #cozyfarmhousestyle #oldfamilyhome #ourlittlecountrylife
#greenvelvetsofa

Is it because we only do take-out so no proper cooking is required?

No. That’s not it!

Maybe it’s the crazy critters we come across.

Meet Arnold our armadillo!

Or the surprise pop-up zinnias in the middle of the yard that no one planted…

Who knows!

Whatever it is Coco seems to be pretty content here too!

A LITTLE SOMETHING SPOOKY!

But you’ll have to swipe to the end to see it…

Clearly I have been spending too much time @our.funky.farmhouse and totally neglecting this one!

So here is a bit of INSTA REALITY - creepy cobwebs and maximalist dust. 😳

Apparently I’ve been decorating for Halloween since May! 😂 taken in Spring Hill, Tennessee by @et.cetera.max

A LITTLE BIT OF SUNSHINE…

And a whole lot of attitude!

Or should I say hat-titude?

Just a shadow dancing wall living its best dressed life.

That’s all I’ve got for today.

HAPPY WEDNESDAY! 🧡 taken in Spring Hill, Tennessee by @et.cetera.max

A BATHTUB FULL OF SPIDERS!

Doesn’t that sound divine??? 🕷️

We are closing out our patios for the season early this year because we will be moving life over to @our.funky.farmhouse a little bit at a time.

So the spider PLANTS are temporarily in their usual cold weather holding spot for now…

Exciting times! 😊 taken in Spring Hill, Tennessee by @et.cetera.max

FALL PORCH DECORATION!

From last year.

We’ve done a little out there but we won’t do a lot this go round.

Our focus of late has been on the farmhouse and getting it ready for its new and certainly most fabulous life!

It’s a minimalist moment in our maximalist world…

Don’t get used to it! 😉 taken in Spring Hill, Tennessee by @et.cetera.max

A NEW ADDITION TO THE LOFT!

And bits of autumn decor creeping in…

We did a little switch-a-roo and brought over John’s childhood desk to replace the dressing table that sat in front of the window.

The desk was made just for him by his great uncle. ⬅️

CARVED WOODEN LEAF…

It belonged to John’s grandmother - Mother Jane! ⬅️

LARGE LEAF BOWL AND GLASS DISH…

Also once belonged to Mother Jane! ⬅️

REMEMBERING THE MONKEY!

Poor little guy…

The honey hated him!

I styled him here first.

He lasted three days before John kindly but strongly asked me to take him down. ⬅️

#quirkyhomedecor #stylingstory #conversationpiece #collectedhome #interiorswithpersonality

THEN I STYLED HIM HERE…

Months later thinking maybe he’d forgotten that he was totally creeped out by my funky little monkey.

He hadn’t.

This time he only lasted 30 seconds! 😂

John headed up the steps. He stopped - he looked at me and simply said PLEASE.

The guy doesn’t ask for much so the monkey no longer lives here. ⬅️

NOT TO CHANGE THE SUBJECT BUT…

I met my first robot at the market yesterday!

Its name was Tally! 🤖

I’M SPINNING OUT A LITTLE BIT!

Between the renovation and attempting to get our current house ready for a new season I don’t really know which way is up!

Main house is a total chaotic wreck.

Luckily it is QUOTE DAY!

It happens here every 15 grid spaces for no other reason than just because.

So I can buy myself a bit of time to perhaps create a cozy corner to snap a pic or two. 📸

And if that fails I will dig deep to find an old photo that you have likely forgotten about.

Either way…

Have a beautiful day! 🧡 taken in Spring Hill, Tennessee by @et.cetera.max
