Spider-Man
Unsolicited confession: I’ll always draw Spider-Man when I’m lost. Something about his awkwardly awesome posture. The costume and all it’s details and complexity yet how simple and familiar it is. Always makes me feel like I made it.

After years of never leaving my bedroom/studio - Hoodrats will be on display this weekend at the Sunnyside art fair.

Originally scheduled for tomorrow but rain is making it look like a Sunday show. It’s from 9:30-5pm, free, and a great showcase of talented Queens artists, showing #Original works, prints, 3D art and merch. Everything on display will be for sale, and it’s a great way to jumpstart your holiday shopping without the crowds/stress.

If you’re curious about the story behind the piece - this was made in 2012, with inkwash, and was directly inspired by the Nas hip-hop classic #illmatic. The piece is filled with symbolism and intentionality behind every decision, and is truly one of the best pieces I’ve ever made. I can talk about it for hours so come by, chop it up, and check out some dope art this weekend.

Woke up, had my coffee, and thought “there’s no place like Queens.”☕️

Big shoutout to @almontestudio for trusting me to carry her art via @cityprintsnyc. We write “Our Story” because one individual can’t do it alone.

Artwork by the talented @almontestudio.

So dope to be featured in another publication, this time by @coolhunting !

Appreciate all of you who mention and share my name in spaces of opportunity, and a huge thank you to everyone who’s supported me thus far. 🙏🏽❤️🙂

Sometimes I get frustrated or disappointed with the progress I’m making, but then people share with me updates like the color palette of the @ralphlauren x @usopen ‘22 shop matching the hand-picked color palette I selected for the #JHCM and I get that burst of validation and confirmation I’m right where I’m supposed to be.

I can’t do it all, perfectly, all the time, but consistently trying has gotten me alot farther than any other method to date. So I guess this is all to say, #keepgoing.

Take care y’all. ✌🏽
