Bringing home third place in the prelim division this weekend at GMHA with Bogue! After an interesting dressage test, we had a great showjump round on saturday and a lovely clear xc on sunday! Bogue jumped effortlessly and made everything on the tough track feel so easy but next time we need to go a bit faster! It was so nice to meet Bogue’s owner @drleslie96 and see some friends!! Thank you everyone for the support and videos all weekend! by @etans_eventing

thank you for giving me everything Bob 💕 helping to make so many of my dreams become a reality and being the highlight of my day every day for two years. I will miss always being behind your ears, your knicker to me when I walk into the barn, and your VERY expressive silly personality. Bob left for his perfect new family this morning and I’m so excited for the adventures he takes them on 🩷🩷 by @etans_eventing

Pony Club A Eventing Rating

This week I went to contest the A with three amazing horses and I couldn’t be more proud of myself. Growing up, the A seemed unreachable, and younger me wouldn’t have believed myself that I had even reached the national levels. Eight years of hard work and continuing on from one rating to the next, all getting more difficult and complex the higher I went continuously made me want to see just how far I could go, and if I really could make it to the top. Now, the feeling of having gotten there is surreal.

The testing itself was very difficult, with the standards requiring me to ride to near perfection across all phases of eventing and on five different horses in front of two very particular examiners, but I’m so happy with the results. I was the only candidate to pass all the flat sections on day one, and I was exceptionally happy with my sections on Bogue since our partnership only started about six weeks ago and he felt phenomenal. Buttercup was the star on day two, exceeding standards for the green horse section. The other sections then all went perfectly to plan as well, with Bogue and Bob jumping outstanding. All except jump switch ride, which I’m hoping to retest soon. Overall, there is so much to take away from this testing. Thank you so much to my mom, Ingrid, Nina, my trainers, and everyone else who helped me get to this point. None of it would have happened without you 🫶

Yesterday Bogue and I completed our first event together at Fair Hill in the modified! We had a super dressage test (along with some bonus enthusiastic moves), and then had two amazing jump rounds with just a rail and some time to add to our score after a hold to let a big storm role through making the footing pretty mucky. Boguey was still extra excited to run xc and be back out eventing 😅😊
