It's Finally Here!

After almost 3-years I'm stoked to share the film from @kemikulz and my @olympus_au project in Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.

The film was pieced together from footage we randomly shot over our month in these two insanely beautiful locations.
Filming was never meant to be more than a supplementary piece to our stills work, yet I feel it evolved into something more. Neither of us had ever hit the record button on a camera before!

Head on over to our pages to check the Youtube link. I hope that it inspires you to explore these lesser-known regions of the world for yourself.
Let me know what you think.

Cheers,

Due to the overwhelming response of the first reel I thought I’d follow up and show people how I used the dividers. They’re not perfect by any means but I wasn’t going to drop big $$ on the Pelican TrekPak just for this drawer.

Let me know if you have a better option! I’d love to hear / try it 🤘

Also, stay tuned for the rest of the studio reveal !

There’s a reason this place has become such a photographers hot spot. I’m grateful to have explored this beautiful country before it was Insta famous.

Shot during our @olympus_au project back in 2017 using E-M1 Mark II cameras and @dji Mavic 1 Pro

Aside from Antarctica, Tajikistan is definitely the most remote and wild place I’ve been to. Wild in the sense that there is very little western culture that has infiltrated the country and the landscapes are insanely dramatic.

These are some of the moments I documented during our project there for @olympus_au @omsystem.cameras back in 2017.

Some of the shots here also feature Afghanistan as it was right across the water for part of the trip.

Shot on E-M1 Mark II + Pro lenses with some shots of the original @dji Mavic Pro.

Literally every corner of this place presents opportunities for new stories and memories.

7 days of Holi. 2 cameras. Zero protection.

I wanted to shoot from right in the middle of it, not from the edge worrying about my gear. So no rain covers, no plastic bags, just two Olympus E-M1Xs getting absolutely covered every day.

And every night, they came in the shower with me.
Quick note before anyone tries this: both bodies and lenses are properly weather sealed, doors shut and caps on. Don’t do this with an unsealed camera.

Would you have risked it?

Fun also stepping in front of the camera for this one. I simply love this bike, so much fun.

7-years later I reckon it’s time to sort and share some unreleased images from my project in India.
