This coming winter at The New Vic, Ensemble Theatre Company presents Hershey Felder’s LOVE NOTES, a romantic story for the ages that follows the love triangle between Romantic-era composers Brahms, Robert Schumann, and Clara Schumann.

1853, Düsseldorf, Germany. A young Johannes Brahms (Hershey Felder) steps into the orbit of musical giants, composer Robert Schumann (Jonathan Silverstri) and his wife, pianist and composer Clara Schumann (Sally George). One year later, Robert Schumann descends into madness and commits himself to an asylum. The young, lionlike Brahms remains by Clara’s side to help her and the Schumanns’ seven children and falls deeply in love, yet Clara remains eternally devoted to her husband. What happens between them all is a love story for the ages written in sound.
