THE SACRIFICE OF PRAISE
So on the 5th day of the New Year I lost my Mum…. Prior to that she was ill and my siblings and I prayed tirelessly as we watched a bad situation get worse. She literally died in our eye over the past year, I swear this woman sacrificed herself for us because God knows if this was more sudden we wouldn’t have been able to take it. One thing I’ll say before I continue this is I’m not over the anger or the fight I had with God. Going back to the Worse month of my life December, I’m reminded that pain can come with smiles and laughter. Have you ever been told your Most Loved one will die and there’s nothing you can do about it other than pray??? You’ve given your last penny, you’ve borrowed, you’ve begged to cheat death even for a few hours… This here is the sad paragraph

My Mother was the light of my Life; cliché but it’s the truth. A sterling person. A MOTHER, A friend, A Teacher, A sister, a dependable shoulder. Truly an Educational juggernaut! Her Works are imbedded in time and won’t be forgotten. Her love is forever in my heart and she lives in me now. Her Legacy has always been her children; my siblings and I. She’s the Angel that sits by God now and intercedes on our behalf. Iyenogie thank you for living and exemplary life. Thank you for all your sacrifices even in sickness and death. You Lived and Loved. I love you forever Oyibo.

About the sacrifice of praise, Loving God is difficult in loss I tell you. As Christians we often forget the “Sacrifice” that comes with praising God or loving God. We don’t understand why bad things would even dare happen to us. As I speak I don’t know better, I stopped praying, church is harder to get to, I know for sure I need counseling but daily I pick myself up and make a move. My mother always said do everything like a Christian, it was harddddd to mourn like a Christian Omo!!!! But we tried! I pray God continues to comfort my family and I. This was not the end I pictured, but who am I to picture anything when I’m not God!
