Here’s a little something for y’all if your answer to the question was no, and even if it wasn’t:

ACTS 8:30-31
“Phillip ran over and heard the man reading from the prophet Isaiah. ‘Do you understand what you are reading?’ The man replied, ‘How can I, unless someone instructs me?’ And he urged Phillip to come up into the carriage and sit with him.” by @ethan_penner41

Here’s the story behind this drawing:
So basically, this past week I’ve been dwelling a bit on what love looks like. Naturally, I turn to 1 Corinthians 13 where it talks about all the things that love is or is not.
The patience of love is the first thing on the list.
I was sorta bored this morning and I realized it’s been a while since I last sat down and drew something decent…lol. So I figured it could be cool to draw scenarios in life where these aspects of love can be evident. My mind immediately went to things like having patience with someone who’s annoying to you or has done something frustrating(kids, coworkers, family, etc). But then for some reason I had the thought about how God decided he didn’t want to just speak humans into creation, but instead he chose to come down and form Adam from the dirt(Genesis 2:7). Now having dabbled in pottery and sculpting in the past, I realized what a timely process something like that could be. Especially in comparison to just saying a word and having it come into existence.
The next thought that came to mind was “now THAT is patient love”.
God said, “let us make human beings in our image, to be like us”(Genesis 1:26-27). So God first had the idea to create human beings, and to make them set apart and different from all other creation, and to make them like Him. The bible also mentions how we are God’s masterpiece(Ephesians 2:10). My guess is that God put a lot of thought into all his creation, but especially human beings, for they were to reflect his image.
Being a creative myself(we all are to some extent) I know that the more thought and time you put into the design of something, the more excited you are to see it actually become reality. I’m sure that God felt this same eagerness and excitement to see this design come to be. But, rather than just speaking us into existence, he took the time to carefully craft us in a way none of his previous creations had been. He had such a love for us, even before he had created the earth(Ephesians 1:4-5). Even with this excitement to see us come to be, in his PATIENT love he chose to take his time to form us himself.
