For half my life Ted has been there to love me unconditionally and I’ll never be able to fully express how much he’s meant to me. I’ve grown up with him and he’s helped me in more ways than I ever thought possible.

A pet, a companion, a best friend and a family member. There will never ever be another like him.

Throwback to when my best mate came over and wrecked me head for 12 days in Guatemala!

We climbed a volcano (too much walking), saw some Mayan ruins (too hot), done some rope swings (water too warm) and drank loads of beers (good tac).

Back home weeks now but never finished my posts..

Week: who knows
📍Guatemala (Mr. Mullets) 🪩🎊🍻

Volunteered in a hostel but only realised on arrival it was a self proclaimed party hostel. 3 weeks of working the bar, drinking it dry and laughing my ass off. Time flew by and I made some friends for life!

Highlight: The boat parties / pub crawls were whopper from what I can remember. Made so many friends and laughed for 3 weeks straight!

Lowlights: Food/water poisoning twice a week to supplement the hangovers. by @ethanisok

Weeks 14 & 15
San Andres (Colombia)

First time volunteering in a hostel and spent my time going on cruises and playing volleyball. Not too shabby!

Highlight:
San Andres is such a beautiful Caribbean island that I spent every day I had off just cycling around it, talking to locals and enjoying the scenery with a few beers. Some of the most enjoyable days of my entire trip.

Lowlights:
My fragile little ego getting a battering asking about 100 people if they’d do karaoke and every single one of them telling me to fuck off. Jokes on them I love singing on my own! by @ethanisok

Week god knows (North of Colombia)
📍Buritaca/Palomino/Taganga

Highlight:
Getting my open water certificate in Taganga. I’ve always wanted to scuba dive and after a nervy start I fell in love with it. Meeting up with all of the South American stalwarts in El Rio again was also a great time!

Lowlight:
My meltdown on the boat after I had to abort my first dive early because I couldn’t equalise one ear. Thankfully there was no one else in the boat to see it 😅

Week 10 (Colombia)
📍Guatapé and Cartegena 🗿🖼️

Highlight:
The streets of Getsemaní are so colourful and you can barely walk 20 meters without seeing some amazing artwork! Food tour was also banging 👨‍🍳

Lowlight:
700 steps to get to the top of the rock in Guatapé and I didn’t even stay the night! taken in Cartagena, Colombia by @ethanisok

Week 9 (Colombia)
📍Medellín 🌇🪩🕺

Highlight:
The comuna 13 walking tour. Learning about how the community has worked together to change its image and move away from its sordid past.
The graffiti all around the comuna is also sick and helps you better understand the people there and what they’ve been through!

Lowlight:
The hangovers and tattoo maintenance. Not ideal when you’re next stop is the Caribbean coast. ❌☀️❌💧
