VIDEO PREMIERE INTERVIEW: Over eight weeks in Southern California, Australian 11-year-old Ethan Jet Potter spent every weekend chasing spots across Los Angeles, Orange County and San Diego. School during the week. Street missions on Saturdays. What started as a few clips from a family trip quickly turned into a full video part in the very birthplace of street skating.

Seven Saturdays are filmed by Malik Jones, with appearances from Ollie MacDonald, who is also on a tear. We caught up with Ethan to talk about how Seven Saturdays came together, the missions where he met Ginwoo, and what he learned from putting together his first street part.

I just wanted to say a few thank you’s . A big thanks to @malikjonesskatecoach who encouraged me to do this part and pushing me to get out of my comfort zone.

Thank you to @kickpushskateshop for premiering it and believing in me. To the @etnies family for all the shoes I love to skate and looking after me in the USA.

To all my friends and their families that showed up to support me on the night and everyone who helped along the way thanks for believing in me and supporting my first skate part.

As the countdown to the LA2028 Olympic Games heats up, the Gold Coast is set to attract the country’s best and budding skateboarders as part of the Rumble Skateboarding Pro Tour and Amateur Series.

From the 9-19 July 2026, Elanora Bowl and Pizzey Park will host the country’s top skateboarders for the first time, with the event to double as the Skate Australia National Championships and form part of the national rankings.

The event will mark two years to go until the LA2028 Olympic Games, making an important stepping stone for those vying for Australian team selection. by @ethanjetpotter
