Visualizing openness and using time to your advantage.

Now that I’m finishing up my degree in Industrial Design, I decided to take another look at these photos from winter break. They really didn’t seem like anything a few months ago, but now I see stillness, atmosphere, and space - appropriate for this point in time. Use your time to your advantage.

First step: focus your attention. Recently, my mentor suggested I write a letter to my future self 5 years from now, filled with promises I make for myself. I thought it was interesting so I had to share. It’s helpful to develop a focus.

Another example finding colors I like in unlikely places. Hopefully the videos help with showing what I look for in a photograph. Subject matter and color are very important to me.

“Night after the 9 to 5”

This photo and its title commemorate life’s “scenes”, often crystallized as the colloquial “core memory”. We find transcendent meaning in moments that feel visceral and transitional… resonating with an unconscious instinct of the human condition.

These are the cinematic moments in time. I felt something akin to that feeling prior to taking this photo.
