I was so excited when @kayodekasum replied to my comment that Ajosepo was in Ghana cinemas. At that moment, I knew I had to flaunt my Olori Ebi @tomike_a so, I organized my girls to go watch Ajosepo with me. We had a good time, a good laugh and an almost good cry😂Aside the drama and entertainment, this movie has great lessons. First is that family is very important. There are certain steps in life you can't take without the backing of your family. Second is that, there's the need for separated or divorced parents to be cautious of the things they say about each other to their kids when they're no longer together. It goes a long way to affect the kids' actions and decisions. Long read👇Deuteronomy 30:6 has become one of my favorite scriptures over time. It says:“And the Lord your God will circumcise your heart and the hearts of your descendants, to love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul, that you may live.” (NKJV)Lately, I’ve been seeing this verse in a much more personal way. Think about how relationships start—those “talking stages” where you take time to understand someone, learn what they like, what matters to them, and how to truly connect. Our relationship with God is not so different.We often say we love God—and it’s true, He loved us first. But have we really taken time to know Him? Have we asked Him how He wants us to serve Him? Do we pay attention to what pleases Him? Do we talk to Him about our struggles and our joys? Is He the first person we turn to in our day?The truth is, this kind of love doesn’t happen overnight. It’s a relationship, and relationships take time, consistency, and intentional effort. There are moments when our actions don’t reflect our love for Christ, and that’s where growth comes in.What makes this scripture even more powerful is the reminder that we can’t do it on our own. We actually need God to transform our hearts—to shape us into people who can love Him deeply and genuinely, the way He desires. It’s like learning His “love language,” just as He already understands ours.Love is meant to be mutual. So maybe it’s time we become more intentional about learning how to truly love God back.
