@sakidasumi
Known for her hypnotising, multifaceted live performances, Umairah (AKA Sakidasumi) draws audiences into her expressive world. She transforms movement into a language of its own, communicating through soft and hard flow while weaving elements of sensuality, storytelling, and longing into her work. Her performances invite audiences into a world of feeling, leaving them suspended in her void.
Having recently moved to Naarm from Boorloo, Umairah has spent the past four months continuing her artistic journey in a new city. Along the way, she has collaborated with artists nationally and internationally, and continues to create work that empowers and uplifts femme BIPOC communities.

the next installment

“INTERLINK_SYSTEM” as part of @dancehouse.melb @melbfringe 2026 Festival Program
Following the successful debut of its predecessor “INTERLINK_CELLS” in May, this iteration brings additional cybernetic enhancements while retaining the familiar posthuman landscape; a natural evolvement and offering to the ongoing conversation of reconciling tradition, ecology, and technology.
