Conceived in Brooklyn, New York, as part of the performance project @cailinlofa (Rotten Girl), the Cailíní-Tee is the latest drop from duo Caelinn Ní Bhroin @caelinn___ and Lily Ní Néill @lilyohneill carrying their signature bold graphics and unapologetic celebration of women.

Hailing from Dublin, Caelinn and Lily began making music in 2025 living together in Brooklyn after discovering their shared love of Gaeilge and dance culture. With backgrounds in performance and design, the pair went on to perform original songs as Gaeilge, with a focus on decolonising the mind, language and body.

On stage, they embody their respective personas, Niamh ChinnWhóir and Puisíín, introducing themselves as members of the ancient Irish Tuath Dé Danann, wearing waist-length wigs, often paired with pieces bearing words in Gaeilge in bold lettering. The visual identity of the group was formed in collaboration with visual artist Katelyn Markham O’Halloran @westtendgirl, with their first shoot showcasing the duo in hand-painted bikinis by Lily Ní Néill, reading ‘Deir Éire Fáilte’ (Ireland Says Welcome). With these words confidently inscribed on the front panels of their garments, strong visual language became a defining motif for CAILÍNLOFA, as seen in the bold and centred statement slogan on the Cailíní-Tee.

Rooted in a commitment to sustainability, Cailíní-Tees are all upcycled, one-of-a-kind garments made in collaboration with London-based vintage seller @ritas_vintage. As seen above, the Cailíní-Tee comes in a range of colours and styles, worn by friends and former collaborators of Lily, Katelyn and Caelinn. The shoot’s styling was influenced by the models themselves, wearing pieces from their own wardrobes not only to showcase the tees but to celebrate a women-led creative process.

What started as band merch has come to mean more than its translation, connecting people through its playful and rebellious energy. Sold via direct messaging @cailinlofa, the tees are currently available in New York City and shipped across Ireland.
