Misato Katsuragi 💜✨💫🍺

Before, I was a hardcore “I only cosplay Rei!” type of person but something I had planned for her didn’t work out in the time frame that I needed it for, so I was like “fine, I’ll do Misato!”.

But I was like if I’m going to do it, I’m going to commit to the bit and give it 110% and I’m glad I did. Surprisingly I challenged myself wig styling wise, clothing alterations wise and creative wise. But it was probably the most beautiful I felt in a long time and just off that alone, I say it was worth all the effort, time and dollars I put into it.

No one ever does (ponytail) Misato, so I thought I do her some justice (//hopefully lmao).

Also, idk how to explain it but I feel like Misato would love Buzzballz, specifically the choco chiller flavor.

I love each Evangelion character equally, all in their own respective ways. I enjoy taking Asuka’s character on the most when I want to challenge both myself as an artist and as an individual. I’ve done 1:1s with N.G.E. artwork and figures before, BUT never an entire scene.

I thought I give that first to one of the best red heads out there.

When I first started to get more into the cosplay and the Evangelion community, I seen this really cool looking car online with Rei on it. I swore to myself if I ever got the chance to take photos with the itasha in question, I would replicate the exact pose Rei is doing on it.

I made sure I stuck to my guns and followed through with the promise I made to myself.

I am happy to announce that photos I’m in will be published in @cosplayglademagazine for their 80s/90s Anime/Cartoon edition - May 2026. It launches today.

At the time I curated the featured cosplays of mines - I had less than 200 followers, no real friends, very depressed and so much more. I didn’t care for more likes, more followers…that kind of thing. My only goal in mind was to share my craft with everyone.

It brings me peace I accomplished something I set out to do but to share the same space with other amazing cosplayers, also cosplaying from a media I’m deeply passionate about and in love with means the world to me.

When I first started to cosplay, I did not want my love of pole dance to overlap with it because I know some people don't like it and I didn't want to upset anyone.

At a certain point I let go of my people pleasing ways and I alone decide what I get to do with my life and nobody else.
