Our vision and mission in 0:48 seconds!

Come join us on our journey towards a plastic-free, slow life ✨️

It's been 6 years since we both put on a pair of gloves each and picked up our first piece of trash on Mahim Beach. As of 2023, we have moved to Goa and gone a step further by making conscious consumption convenient and curating product alternatives for all the nuisance products we found on Mahim Beach when this all started.

But waste management is never forgotten because, as we know, only 9% of global plastic is actually recycled, 22% is mismanaged, and the rest goes to landfills. So, to that end, we compost all our wet waste and we set up our very own recycling drop-off station in our backyard where we have successfully collected and sent dry waste and e-waste to be recycled responsibly. Just last week, we sent 300 kgs of dry waste that is pictured above.

We collect all dry waste including glass bottles during the day between 10:30am and 6:30pm on all days except Sunday at our Ethico recycling station in Siolim, Goa as a way to express our continuing commitment to the fight against single-use plastic.

We hope you spread the word so that we can continue our efforts towards a single-use plastic free world.

Consciousness about plastic with respect to one's health and environment is rising. While there are adjustments we can make in the goods we use and materials used to package them, our focus should be on choosing to live a less wasteful lifestyle.

Swipe through our two-part post today to understand single use plastic packaging and how you can start your low-waste journey.

The simple joy of putting beautiful things together. by @ethicoindia

Shreyas is particular about eating well, but also mindful of the unnecessary plastic packaging that often comes with even the healthiest food.

So he brings his own containers, refills what he needs and skips the packaging altogether.

A little more thought, a little less waste.

Thanks for walking the talk Shreyas! 💚 by @ethicoindia

Living in Goa means we’re always welcoming people and, just as often, saying goodbye.

Robert, Tina and Kai spent a lovely afternoon with us before heading to the airport. We caught up on life, work, family and everything in between. There was reading, a little shopping and lots of conversation.

With Durga Puja coming to a close, we’ve been thinking about how even goodbyes are worth celebrating.

Here’s to the people who come into our lives, the time we share and the special connections that make it all worthwhile. Shubho Bijoya! 🙏🏽❤️ by @ethicoindia

We love repairing things at Ethico. There’s something so satisfying about giving old favourites a new lease of life.

Monisha’s rocking chair is one of her most cherished pieces, and we loved working on it.

The original cane work on the back was still in great shape, with years left in it, so we decided not to touch it. After all, restoring is as much about knowing what to leave alone.

Monisha, thank you for trusting us with your lovely chair. Always such a joy spending time with you!

Here’s to making beautiful things last longer. 💚 by @ethicoindia

We love meeting fellow Bombay folks at Ethico, especially when they arrive with their own containers, ready to refill and avoid unnecessary packaging.
@idkohli and @adahbyleesha are walking the talk from recycling and composting to making refilling part of their everyday lives.
Every refill means one less piece of packaging.

People’s Project is back with its 11th edition. 🌿
This time, we’re travelling to the Amazon with Vivek Talwar, as he takes us on a visual and emotional journey through its extraordinary biodiversity.
Bringing the journey back home, Vivek explores Goa’s rich and fragile natural heritage, and what each of us can do to protect it.

He’ll be in conversation with Govind Mukundan, Director of International Growth at Our Common Home.

And there’ll be delicious snacks by our friends at @tkcgoa The Kitchen Collective, who share our love for thoughtful, conscious food. 💚

Our colouring books are proving quite popular with the little artists at Ethico.

Come colour outside the lines, make a little mess and let the imagination wander.

Parents, you shop plastic-free. Let the kids create. 💚

We like gifts that have a life beyond the wrapping paper. 💚

Something useful, something soulful, something that quietly becomes part of everyday life.

Our little way of making conscious gifting a bit easier.
