Ethno Kenya 2026. Ethno Kenya is an intercultural music initiative organized by M-Tafsiri Africa, a member of Jeunesses Musicales International (JMI). As part of the global Ethno World network, we are dedicated to preserving, celebrating, and revitalizing traditional, folk, and world music. Located in Kachien Village, Oyugis, within Homa Bay County of Kenya. Ethno Kenya brings together young musicians from 18 years and cultural practitioners from diverse backgrounds. Our peer-to-peer learning environment allows participants to teach and learn traditional songs, instruments, and musical heritage directly from one another, fostering deep cross-cultural understanding, community interaction and creative collaboration. Through our residency camps, workshops, and performance showcases, we empower the next generation of global musicians while keeping local music traditions alive. Keep an eye out for our next open call and apply to join our upcoming music camps and workshops! by @ethnokenya
