The Ascension, an act embedded deeply in our knowledge of the land. An appreciation for the palm tree, a symbol of life. The date harvest season welcomes a practiced tradition of ascension passed from one generation to the next. Honoring its importance and the hospitality it carries with it.

As rutab arrives, Ethr’s Farmer’s Den in Al Ain Oasis becomes part of our commitment to carry this practice forward. Seasonal offerings from us, the land to you.

As date palms enter their seasonal harvest, Ethr celebrates the richness of the UAE by sourcing the finest Rutab dates from Al Ain. In collaboration with Episodes at Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental, Ethr presents the Rutab Qahwa Cake — an exclusive creation by Executive Pastry Chef Alexandre Thabard, inspired by the heritage and flavours of the UAE.

A graceful interpretation of the cherished Rutab date. It combines gahwa and cardamom, honey from the beehives of the Palace’s East Garden, and velvety Rutab date cream, finished with a delicate coffee-cardamom cream and coffee-date praline.

Served exclusively with a curated Gahwa Selection, this seasonal experience is available at The Silk Fold Pop-up in Emirates Palace from 15th of July until the end of August. Discover this limited-time collaboration — Ethr × Episodes.

مع دخول موسم جني الرطب، تحتفي إثر بثراء دولة الإمارات من خلال اختيار أجود أنواع الرطب من مدينة العين. وبالتعاون مع إبيسودز في قصر الإمارات ماندارين أورينتال، تقدم إثر كيكة الرطب والقهوة العربية، وهي ابتكار حصري من إعداد الشيف التنفيذي للحلويات ألكسندر ثابار، مستوحى من تراث الإمارات ونكهاتها الأصيلة.

تجسّد هذه الحلوى تفسيراً راقياً للرطب الإماراتي، حيث تمتزج فيها القهوة العربية والهيل، مع عسلٍ من خلايا النحل في الحديقة الشرقية لقصر الإمارات، وكريمة الرطب المخملية، وتُستكمل بطبقة ناعمة من كريمة القهوة والهيل وبرالين القهوة والرطب.

تُقدَّم هذه التجربة الموسمية حصرياً مع تشكيلة مختارة من القهوة العربية، وذلك في طيّة الحرير بقصر الإمارات، ابتداءً من 15 يوليو وحتى نهاية شهر أغسطس.

The Silk Fold is a conversation between worlds — envisioned by Ethr and brought to life through Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental.

Inspired by the iconic fan and enriched by the artistry of Emirati craftsmanship, folds of embroidered silk, golden talli, and luminous shadows unfold beneath the dome.

Revealing a woven tapestry of memory, culture, and connection.

طيّة الحرير هي حوارٌ بين عوالم مختلفة، صاغته إثر وأحياه إلى الواقع قصر الإمارات ماندرين أورينتال.

مستوحاة من المروحة الأيقونية، ومُثرية بجمال الحِرف الإماراتية، تتجلّى تحت القبة طيّاتٌ من الحرير المطرّز، وخيوط التلّي الذهبية، وظلالٌ مضيئة تنسج مشهداً آسراً.
