ETL RETREATS 🏕️🛡️

Our retreats are led by teams of first responders and veterans—men who understand the weight of the job and have walked through their own battles.

Over the years, we’ve supported hundreds of warriors, some looking for a reset, others in crisis and feeling like this was their last shot.

We’ve seen firsthand that healing and is possible. Not because of a perfect plan, but because Jesus consistently shows up.

📍 Retreats are offered in multiple states
🇺🇸🇨🇦 We’ve served participants from across the U.S. and Canada
🤝 Custom retreats available for agencies and units

We’ve seen chains break, relationships restored, and men find peace again.

If you’re ready to take the next step, check out the upcoming retreats on our site.

You don’t have to figure it all out before you come. Just come.

Through the Cross to victory.

Why do we preach Christ’s death and resurrection at every retreat?

Because it changed everything.

Through His death, Christ defeated our greatest enemy, death itself.

Because Christ is victorious, we no longer have to walk in darkness, fear, or defeat. Instead, we can walk in the light, hope, and truth of Christ our King.

If you are looking to restore hope, if you are looking for freedom. Christ is the way.

Some of you woke up today tired in a way sleep doesn’t fix.

Trying to carry a lot. Be strong. Lead well. Hold things together at home, at work, in your own head. You want to be a man who’s capable… someone who can step in, protect, handle what comes.

But if you’re honest, there are moments it feels like you’re forcing it. Like you’re running on fumes and hoping no one notices.

That’s real. And you’re not the only one.

The pull to be Dangerous But Good is there… but so is the weight of trying to become that on your own.

John 1:16 says we’ve received “grace upon grace.”

Not a one-time thing. Not something you earn when you finally get it right. It’s a constant supply from Him… not from you.

And that changes everything.

Because this life isn’t built on how disciplined you can be or how much pressure you can carry. Those things matter, but they won’t hold you up forever.

Jesus does.

Real strength looks different than we think. It’s not a man grinding himself down trying to prove he’s enough. It’s a man who knows he’s not… and finally stops pretending he is.

Anchored. Settled. Not because life is easy, but because he knows where his strength comes from.

The lion doesn’t walk around trying to prove what it is. It’s steady. It knows.

That’s what grace does in you. It steadies you. It takes some of that pressure off your chest. It reminds you that you don’t have to earn what’s already been given.

So if today feels heavy, don’t just push through it.

Come back to Him.

Let that grace meet you again, right where you are. Not cleaned up. Not put together. Just honest.

And then move forward from there.

Not in your own strength… but in His.

“He died, but he vanquished death; in himself he put an end to what we feared; he took it upon himself and he vanquished it, as a mighty hunter he captured and slew the lion.

Where is death? Seek it in Christ, for it exists no longer; but it did exist and now it is dead.” - Augustine of Hippo

Our King has defeated death. What shall we fear?

But those who hope in the Lord
will renew their strength.

They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.

Isaiah 40:31

I’ve seen what it looks like to train together, trust each other, and step into hard things side by side.

But the words on this photo point to someone greater than any of us.

Christ is King.

Over our fear. Over our pride. Over the things we can control and the things we can’t. The strength we’ve been given is His to use, and the people He’s placed in our lives are ours to love and serve.

I’m grateful to share this post with some brothers who believe that too.

Dragons aren’t just for fairy tales.

They’re real. But they don’t always take the form we expect.

Despair.
Lust.
Addiction.
Fear.

Often, they stand between us and what we desire most: joy, peace, and hope.

Sometimes the dragon seems so big that the battle feels hopeless.

It’s not.

Through the power of Christ, our greatest enemy has been defeated. The dragon has been defanged.

We don’t fear the dragon.
The dragon fears our King.

At every retreat, we watch men face their dragons through the power and grace of Christ.

Will you be next?
