AAU Basketball Program / Skills Development

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

This AAU season was a special one, and I couldn’t be more proud of both our 6th grade and 4th grade teams.

Our 6th grade group finished the season 20-7, and our 4th grade group finished the season 30-9. Those records didn’t happen by accident—they came from hard work, discipline, sacrifice, and a commitment to getting better every single day.

The practices were never easy. We pushed these kids to their limits with accountability, constructive criticism, and high expectations because we knew what they were capable of. (Program isn’t for everybody) Growth doesn’t come from comfort, and these players embraced that. They learned how to handle adversity, respond to coaching, and trust the process.

What makes me most proud is seeing how much they improved—not just in games, but in practice every single day. You could see the confidence growing, the IQ getting sharper, and the understanding of how to truly PLAY the game. These are smart players who compete the right way.

We traveled to different states, faced high-level competition, and held our own everywhere we went. We never backed down, and we competed at the highest level. That says everything about the heart and toughness of these teams.

And let’s be clear—we guard man-to-man all day, every day. No shortcuts. No hiding. That takes toughness, discipline, and pride. If you want to talk about hard, that’s what these kids do every single day.

The beautiful thing about all of this is they are finally starting to see their hard work come to life. The results are showing, the confidence is growing, and the future is bright.

And to all the haters in the back—we ain’t forget about y’all!!!

Congratulations to our 6th and 4th grade teams on winning the Phenom Hoops Stay Positive Tournament this weekend. 🏆🥇

Both groups represented themselves with a high level of character, competing unselfishly and executing on both ends of the floor. They received well-deserved recognition for their ability to share the basketball and play cohesively as a team.

I am especially proud of their commitment on the defensive end. Playing man-to-man throughout the entirety of each game and embracing every challenge reflects the standard we aim to uphold.

Most importantly, our focus remains on player development. We will continue to build, improve, and grow each day. The future is very promising.
