It’s taken me a week to make this post, but last Saturday, I had to make the most difficult decision of my life and say my final goodbye to my best friend of the past 18 years. Unfortunately, Casper’s health quickly diminished during the week prior and the vet told me the day before that his kidney disease had significantly progressed. At that point, there wasn’t anything more I could do except love on him for one more day. What makes the timing especially hard is that it was exactly a week before the two year passing of my other baby, Simba, which is today. As I write this sitting on the train home from a brief trip, I’m dreading walking into my place for the first time in more than 18 years and not having a fur baby extremely excited to greet me and give me cuddles, unconditional love, and aggressive headbutts. Casper and Simba were very different from each other, but they were both perfect in their own ways and neither of them can ever be replaced. Please give your fur babies some extra love on behalf of me, Casper, and Simba. I love you schmoos schmoos and I always will. by @etows

Casper is finally old enough to gamble! Happiest 18th birthday to the bestest, most cuddliest, sweetest boy in the world. My baby bear, schmoo schmoo, butt face, face butt, boo boo butt, cas cas, and the other million nicknames that have come about over the past 18 years. If it weren’t for him and my baby girl, Simba (may she rest in peace), I probably wouldn’t be here. Their unquestionable love is something that can never be replaced and I am forever grateful for being able to have them a part of my life. Please give your fur babies an extra snack, kiss, cuddle, etc. on behalf of Casper tonight. by @etows
