College kids — especially boys — often get a bad rap. These ones deserve a special shoutout ❤️

Once a week, for the entire month of September, the Edgewood University Eagles baseball team plays ball with the boys of the Dane County Miracle League — a team made up of kids living with physical disabilities 🥰

On Miracle League game days, like any big-time ballpark, there are introductions, the singing of the national anthem, walkup songs, and photos on the scoreboard.

Parent Mike Fujihira, whose son Maverick has cerebral palsy, said it best:

"Admittedly, when you first hear about a bunch of college kids coming out to be buddies, you're a little nervous maybe. You're like, 'Are they going to take it serious? How are they going to
approach it?'”

"But if you watch, I mean, they full-on diving in. They are out there with these kids, engage with these kids. You see the kids so much more engaged, high-fives, throwing, running with them. I can't say enough about the Edgewood Eagles, as far as buddies out here in the fall and having them out here with us."
