It’s the evening before we begin our travels to Nagoya for the World Cosplay Summit Finals so I wanted to finally post this little medley of clips & “bloopers” from some of the process so far! It’s been stressful at times, and downright CRAZY at others - but this process has been worth it tenfold. Even during the most insane deadlines and late night crashouts over corrections and costumes, there’s been so many moments of pure joy and happiness that it makes all the difficult parts of the process feel like nothing! International competitions are a huge commitment but so so rewarding, and WCS has truly proven to us how kinda rad as hell we are 🤣We’re both so so excited to bring our all to the prejudging room & stage and hope we do everyone proud! 🇬🇧🇯🇵#worldcosplaysummit2026 by @eufiemoon

Marcille’s staff is all done and ready for @worldcosplaysummit ! It’s a little shocking to think the finals are RIGHT on the doorstep (literally less than 2 weeks till we fly out to Japan guys 😭) - these next 12 days are going to be slight chaos whilst we finish stuff up, squeeze in some rehearsals & pack for the trip following the championship week! This might be one of my favourite props I’ve made to date! I 3d modeller the core for the topper - which I 3d printed in PLA with a low infill to help with weight! This also allowed me to make it easy to transport with printed dowel inserts! The entire thing was then wrapped in layers of 2mm foam to build up a 3d and organic form before I layered on the worbla and got to sculpting! I spent about 15 hours sculpting this alone and I dare say it was very worth it 😶 I also spent like 10 hours embroidering moss but we aren’t talking about it because I’ve ended up deciding on NO MOSS on this staff, at least for now. I have a lot of sculpting tools from my degree so getting to reuse them for this was great even if I ended up deciding a lollipop stick and small palette knife were the best tools for the job! Then painted everything in acrylic, layering up some custom mixes of browns and greens to create as much depth as possible! Then top coated with an acrylic gloss finisher! I’ve actually been putting this staff off for a while because I couldn’t decide how I wanted to finish it! I was stuck between sculpting with worbla OR going all natural with layers of suede & leather - which I think would’ve also looked really cool but I couldn’t quite execute how I was picturing it! Maybe in the future! I’m so excited for everyone to see the result of 8 months of planning & hard work (it’s been over a year for me in terms of prepping for the qualifiers too so it’s going to be SO WEIRD to say it’s all done when it is!) and we hope we manage to make you laugh and feel like we’ve done this series and characters justice on stage! -#marcille #marcillecosplay #marcillestaff #wcs2026 #propmaking by @eufiemoon

It took 2 universities, 4 years and countless breakdowns but I graduated! Going to keep it somewhat snappy because I’m exhausted but I’m really proud of myself after facing disappointment after disappointment with my uni experience - I’m so grateful to the friends I made here for being about the only good part of my experience! Considering during dissertation writing I wasn’t even sure if I was still a student anymore it’s safe to say I’m glad to see this day through and be done with this place and period of my life, and feeling very resolute in my decisions during my time here! My uni experience felt a lot like Coco’s first trial, I struggled and failed but I kept going at it and eventually found my way to success doing it MY way, not the university’s way. Also glad to report I’ve found a university & postgraduate degree that feels much more up my alley and maybe I’ll give it a shot in a year or two once I’ve gotten my feet under me some more in my personal endeavours! Either way I did it, saw it through, proved to myself I could do it and that’s all that matters! by @eufiemoon

WCS Red carpet - Qifrey! Eeeeeee I couldn’t help myself but take some pretty photos of my (verrryyyy nearly) finished costume for the Red carpet!! It’s insane to think that the finals are this month - it feels like the light at the end of a very long tunnel and I’m so excited to show the results of our hard work! I’ll be posting more stuff as I get the chance to take nice photos but some stuff is being kept a surprise for the finals! Fun fact about this costume: my kimono is actually made out of the leftover linen I used for my second Qifrey cloak (and the cloak I later used for the WCS qualifiers!) Silly little tease of (one of) my next competition builds post-WCS! I’ve posted a full write-up over on my blog for those who’d like to get a more in depth look into my planning process for this! I’ve been so patiently waiting to get through the next several commitments I’ve had before posting ANYTHING about this other than non-committal story posts but I felt now that I’ve got everything bar the WCS finals done I can start posting about my plans post-WCS (I’m taking a break after the finals I swear but I can’t go two second without a project on the mind and I want to keep my momentum going after such a big life commitment! Without further ado,,,,, I’ll be bringing Brimhat coco to life! About a year and a half ago I mentioned her being a cosplan, and then multiple Qifrey remakes & competition entries took over my life for 2025 and she went on the back burner, but I’m happy to report that I’m back into the swing of picking her back up and really excited! I’m fairly reluctant to cosplay younger child characters in most cases and whilst WHA has done a good job of breaking through that preference, I knew for a competition entry I’d both want to age up the character and bring a concept to life I’ve been thinking of since first looking at her as a cosplan last year. Something I loved about Qifrey was being able to squeeze in any historical research I could but with the restraints WCS’ rules put on falling too far out of your reference images, I couldn’t go too hard with my ideas! Luckily I have no such qualms about coco. The plan is to build a late 19th century take on her brimmed cap outfit, prime with custom devore velvet, moiré silks, filigree, jet beading and embroidery and my favourites: millinery and shoemaking! This costume feels like a natural progression from Marcille where I have room to learn more whilst also getting to expand the skills in already confident with and perfecting the basics too! I’m really excited to start posting more about this though likely not until September at the earliest! Clea Dessendre 🎨Costume details: @ohsewcraftyltd 100% Washed Linen in Navy (dyed darker using Dylon dye in “navy blue”) @poundfabrics Linear Weave Suiting Fabric @wigisfashion Platinum Blonde Wavy Synthetic Wig NS579 The gold was achieved by layering gold powder pigment mixed with @tygessupplies clear flexipaint and then adding gold leaf flakes over top! I also dry brushed with some of the flexipaint pigment mixed over the skirt to pick up the linen weave texture! -I finally managed to debut the version of Clea I’ve dreamed of making since expedition 33 first came out! I just fell in love with how haunting this design felt alongside with really resonating with Clea’s character in particular and what this version of her represents 🥹 I definitely have so changes to make now that I’ve worn & stress tested her and I’m excited to make them and hopefully get to shoot her properly! I’ll be at @qub_qcon this weekend! 👾I have the absolute pleasure of attending this con that’s been on my radar for a while now and judge both the Variety Show and Cosplay Masquerade across the weekend! I’m so excited to see everyone’s beautiful costumes and performances up close & personal! I’ll be around Saturday as 👀 Clea, finally debuting the version of her I’ve been planning to make since last year!!! I’ll also be about at the quiz & bar in the evening in #swaggedout Denji with @makku.zz and @azureandroid !!! Sunday I’ll be there as Qifrey ! I’m so excited to get to bring him back over to Ireland and take advantage of the absolutely stunning locations around Queen’s University for photos!
