Tērā te atapō, nau mai te ata hāpara! We often hear the word ata for morning - “Ata mārie! Good morning!”. But there are many other kupu, depending on the stage of dawn or morning. Ata hāpara describes those first hints of daylight appearing on the horizon, the first breath of the day.
