We made it. Entering the ferry with a rainbow welcoming us, the portal to a next chapter on this journey.
All the way from Berlin to 🇲🇦 it took us 13 days
of driving,
of living and working on 4 wheels,
of fighting covid,
of enjoying the slowness, the constant shift in scenery and scents.
It‘s not easy to fully allow ourselves to feel joy when there’s pain and suffering surrounding us in this world. The more we are aware of it, the more we learn to appreciate every single piece of the life we are given. We can still choose to be a force for good in the world and contribute to the well-being of others.

Day 9: Washed away

Soaked the stains we wore to sleep. Dreams of longer lasting sun wrung out in soapy rain. Wet hair and cold feet tumble dried on tender heat so they won’t shrink. Carefully folding the skin that gathered the sands, held by the kindness only a dear friend knows. Hung up to dry the sickness that heals at its own pace.

Day 8: The Reunion

Dogs have an incredible memory, especially when it comes to those they love.🐾❤️ Even after months or years apart, they can remember their friends thanks to their amazing sense of smell and strong emotional bonds. Dogs use scent as their primary way of recognizing others, so when they catch the familiar scent of a friend, it brings back all those memories instantly. It’s why reunions are so emotional—it’s like no time has passed at all!

Day 5: Rainy rides

Ever since I was little I liked feeling safe and sound cuddled up inside when it rained. Driving through this kind of weather caught us in the car most of the day. Heading towards heavy clouds full of breaking water, halting to eat hot soup while telling each other heart warming stories, repairing stuff, drinking spicy tea to fight the c and finally falling asleep to white noise tapping on our windows, dreaming of warmer days to come.

Day 3: Sick on the Beach

There‘s some kind of magic in waking up before the sun and finding a way with your own light. Following Lupo‘s footsteps upon reaching the pine trees on sandy grounds. Soaking in soft air carrying news of land ending and water beginning to rise above the surface soon. We quickly fell asleep on the beach again with dreams that will never be remembered again. Only the very last sentiment brought to consciousness with a fresh summer breeze tickling naked shoulders and sore throats.
