[GRIMACE BUILD] Chapter 4: The Single Turbo Transformation 💜

With Grimace’s forged 3.4L S58 assembled and the drivetrain upgraded, it’s time for one of the most anticipated stages of our journey towards 1,500HP.

We’re going BIG SINGLE! 😈

BMW’s factory twin-turbo arrangement makes way for a Garrett G45, finished in custom Techno Violet and supported by a Pulsar T4 twin-scroll manifold, twin GFB EX44 wastegates and an RK Autowerks billet intake manifold.

For the extensive custom fabrication, we teamed up with our good friends Haks and Arthur at @performancexhaustcentre, bringing over 40 years of combined experience to the project.

Their work includes a massive 4½-inch stainless steel downpipe, 4-inch AES exhaust dump valve, twin screamer pipes and custom aluminium charge piping, all integrated with our existing WERKE midpipe and CS titanium exhaust.

Another major milestone in Grimace’s transformation, and one step closer to bringing this monster back to life! 💜

You can have your cake and eat it too. 🎂 It’s only Wednesday and we’re already four DME unlocks deep. 😈

Supported post-06/2020 BMW DMEs that previously required an overseas trip can now be unlocked right here at @eurowerke_au in Castle Hill — with same-day service available.

Utilising @autotunertool , we can now complete supported Bosch MG1 TC298 DME unlocks entirely in-house, significantly reducing the time, cost and inconvenience involved in unlocking your late-model BMW for tuning.

📸 [BEHIND THE SCENES] Just another day at EuroWerke. 🔧

Full lifts, custom tunes and plenty happening in between.

From Peter Paul wrapping up an S55 rod bearing upgrade and the boys keeping the servicing schedule moving, to Oscar admiring his son’s freshly revived E36 and Ozzy preparing Grimace for its long-awaited first start.

A few moments from behind the scenes this week:

1️⃣ Peter Paul – Fresh ACL Race Rod Bearings installed on this S55. Another important job wrapped up!

2️⃣ Deved & Jaidon – Deved getting stuck into diagnostics on a Mercedes-AMG C43 while Jaidon takes care of servicing on an F80 M3 CS.

3️⃣ Jaidon – Head down and focused on a BMW X3 service.

4️⃣ Oscar – Checking out his son’s handiwork on the freshly rebuilt E36. A pretty special moment for the family! 💜

5️⃣ Jerry – Keeping this G87 M2 in top shape with its scheduled servicing.

6️⃣ Phil – Out in the car park helping a customer track down an unusual noise. Sometimes the diagnosis starts before the car even reaches a hoist!

7️⃣ Deved – Elbow-deep in a BMW 3 Series, with a pair of M3s waiting patiently behind him.

8️⃣ Jerry – Supra checked in and ready to go. Just waiting for his mentor before getting stuck into the next job!

9️⃣ Peter Paul – Showing off his trolley of top-shelf upgrades. Not a bad collection of goodies!

🔥 BMW F87 M2 COMPETITION — STAGE 2 FLEX FUEL | 425kW & 740Nm! 🏁

Manual gearbox, full E85 and a custom TUNE+ calibration developed with track performance in mind!

This F87 M2 Competition received our Stage 2 Flex Fuel treatment, alongside supporting performance upgrades and preventative maintenance to prepare the S55 for some serious track work.

📈 THE DYNO RESULTS:
🔹 Starting Point | Hardware Upgrades, Untuned: 290kW / 542Nm
🔥 TUNE+ Stage 2 | 98RON: 362kW / 675Nm

💜 SOME CARS ARE WORTH MORE THAN WHAT THEY’RE WORTH.

Some cars have a story to tell. This one has been part of ours since the very beginning.

Long before EuroWerke became what it is today, there was Hills Eurohaus, and one of the cars there from the start was Ozzy’s BMW E36 318is. It was the car he was driving when he and his brother Oscar decided to start what would eventually become EuroWerke.

As the business grew, the E36 became a promotional car, attending shows and events before settling into life as a familiar display on Victoria Avenue.

Years passed, brands evolved, Hills Eurohaus became EuroWerke, and the E36 was eventually retired and parked away. Rust, mould and time took their toll, and there was even talk of getting rid of it altogether.

But someone had other ideas.

At just 14 years old, Oscar’s son saw something worth saving in his uncle Ozzy’s forgotten BMW. He dreamed of rebuilding it as his very own first car, and Uncle Ozzy made him a deal.

“If you can fix it, it’s yours.” 🤝

What followed was years of learning, persistence, hard work and plenty of time getting his hands dirty.

Fast-forward to today, and that young bloke is now 17, has his driver’s licence, and the E36 is back on the road! It’s looking fantastic, driving beautifully, and while there’s still more to do, he’s already built something to be incredibly proud of.

And so are we. 💜

Because this was never just about fixing an old BMW. It was about an uncle giving his nephew an opportunity, a young bloke discovering his passion, and a little piece of our history finding its way into the next generation.

From Hills Eurohaus to EuroWerke. From uncle to nephew. From forgotten project to first car.

Some things really are worth holding onto. 💜

🔥 BMW G80 M3 COMPETITION LCI — STAGE 1 S58. UNLOCKED & UNLEASHED! 💜

Another stunning G80 M3 Competition LCI through the EuroWerke workshop, this time for our complete WERKE Stage 1 S58 Performance Package!

The beauty of the S58 platform is just how much performance can be unlocked without needing to dive into extensive hardware modifications. With the right calibration, even a relatively straightforward Stage 1 package can deliver a noticeable improvement in power, torque and overall driving response.

For this M3, we started with an in-house WERKE DME Unlock, opening the door for our custom TUNE+ ECU calibration. Paired with our custom TUNE+ TCU transmission tune and a fresh set of NGK spark plugs, the package brings the engine and transmission together for a sharper, more responsive driving experience.

Then it was onto our Mainline ProHub Dyno to see what the S58 had to offer! 📈

📊 THE RESULTS:
🔹 STOCK: 369kW / 632Nm
🔥 TUNE+ STAGE 1: 425kW / 713Nm
🚀 GAINS: +56kW / +81Nm

💙 BMW F80 M3 — PERTH TO SYDNEY, THEN STRAIGHT TO THE WERKE-SHOP. 👉

New car. New city. First stop: EuroWerke.

Freshly arrived from Perth with its new owner, this F80 M3 was already a seriously well-sorted Stage 3 build, running upgraded hybrid turbos and Flex Fuel.

With E50 reportedly the practical limit available to its previous owner in Perth, the move to Sydney gave us the opportunity to recalibrate the car for the full Flex Fuel range — from 98RON through to full E85. 🌽

Before tuning, we also gave the M3 a thorough health check and inspection from front to back, making sure its new owner knew exactly what he was starting with.

Then onto the dyno:

This F80 M3 came through for a Flex Fuel upgrade, giving the owner the ability to run full E85 with the supporting hardware and custom calibration taken care of at EuroWerke.
