It’s not just about the festival, it’s about the community.

Eustress in Color: Bayou Edition hit on so many levels.

• The location: TEP Center in the Lower 9th Ward where @leonatate1960 reclaimed a space that she, Gail Etienne, and Tessie Prevost (the McDonogh Three) integrated on November 14, 1960. History lives in those walls and we were honored to be in it.

•The people: The Lower 9th Ward showed up. Families, creatives, and community members.

•The moment: Dr. Tate said it herself…this is the inaugural Eustress in Color: Bayou Edition. That means we are just getting started.

We will be back and will continue to do the work.
