Launches and the "Rocket Revolution" has been chosen as this year's World Space Week theme, and for Eutelsat it's a timely one 🚀

As the first batch of satellites in our OneWeb renewal programme ship from @airbus_space in Toulouse ahead of an upcoming launch with @spacex, we're taking a look at the mission patches from the 20 OneWeb launches that have helped build our global LEO constellation so far.

Built alongside partners from around the world, these launches laid the foundations for the secure and resilient connectivity services our customers rely on today.

Now, we're preparing for the next chapter.

#OneWebLaunch21 will carry the first 32 satellites from our renewal programme, marking the beginning of a new phase for our LEO network as we enhance our constellation's capacity and capabilities 🛰️

The renewal of OneWeb is underway 🛰️

Today in Toulouse, the first 32 satellites in Eutelsat's OneWeb renewal programme completed production and began the next stage of their journey towards an upcoming launch with @spacex.

Built by @airbus_space, these satellites are the first of 669 new OneWeb spacecraft planned to renew and enhance our global LEO network, ensuring continuity of service while bringing additional capabilities to customers around the world.

This milestone brings together two European strengths: Airbus' satellite manufacturing expertise and Eutelsat's experience operating a global LEO network.

🚅 Connected rail, powered by LEO.

Eutelsat has completed its first rail connectivity trial in Poland, demonstrating how OneWeb LEO connectivity can support both passenger connectivity and digital rail operations aboard a PKP Intercity service.

Delivered in partnership with ACO Solutions, @hispasat_satelites , @kymetacorp and PKP Intercity, the trial marks an important step toward future-ready connectivity for rail operators.

When disaster strikes, connectivity becomes critical.

Following the recent crisis in Nepal, Eutelsat teams mobilised OneWeb LEO connectivity to support first responders, relief teams and affected communities on the ground.

When terrestrial infrastructure is disrupted, reliable connectivity can help keep rescue teams coordinated, support relief centres and ensure critical information continues to flow where it is needed most. It can also help affected communities stay connected with loved ones and access vital updates during an incredibly difficult time.

We are grateful to the emergency teams, rescue workers and all those supporting communities impacted by this crisis.

Connecting communities across the Arctic.

Eutelsat is proud to support the Enhanced Satellite Connectivity Project for Greenland, helping extend OneWeb LEO connectivity to remote communities and critical infrastructure across one of the world's most challenging environments for communications.

Delivered alongside our longstanding partner Tusass and supported by the European Union, the Government of Greenland and the Government of Denmark, the project will help bring reliable, high-speed connectivity to areas where terrestrial infrastructure can be difficult to deploy.

In this latest customer testimonial, the crew of the @force_action_navale's Frégate Guépratte shares how Eutelsat's OneWeb LEO connectivity is helping support both mission-critical operations and crew welfare.

The crew reports around four times more bandwidth, reliable connectivity without blind spots, and access to the communications tools they rely on every day.

The video also highlights something increasingly important for defence users around the world: the ability to rely on sovereign European communications infrastructure.

Science at the edge of the world ❄️

The Tara Polar Station has begun its first expedition into the central Arctic Ocean, where researchers will spend months studying one of the most important regions in our planet's climate system.

Connected by Eutelsat's OneWeb LEO network via an Intellian Technologies user terminal, the crew will be able to transmit scientific data, maintain operational communications and stay connected while operating in one of the world's most remote environments.

Yesterday's Bastille Day celebrations showcased the people, technologies and capabilities that contribute to France's security and resilience.

We were proud to see vehicles in the parade connected via OneWeb LEO user terminals from our partners @intelliantech and @kymetacorp, demonstrating the growing role of satellite connectivity in supporting modern defence and security operations.
