Some bad news to share about Teuntjes eye. The drops arent working any more and the eyeballpressure is so high that his eye is only giving him distress and pain. We ve tried for 2 and half months and nothing is giving Teuntje relief.
Tomorrow the vet is taking his eye out, making Teuntje our little pirate. And hopefully he will finally heal and can be his happy self again. by @eva.dieren.2

Our hearts are so sad for our dear friend Jayla has crossed the rainbowbridge. Her spirit was a bright ,happy ,goofy girl. Who had the biggest heart for her mum and her siblings and she enjoyed their beautiful walks together. She has brought so much happiness and light into the world. On our way to Brams 4th Librela_shot. Every time the shot helps Bram a little better. He still needs his Rymadyl, CBD and sinaspril too.

We ve seen the eyespecialist yesterday. She was very kind . Teuntje has uveïtis in his left eye. Thats inflamation of his iris. That can be caused by something external: a blow to the head, a caraccident etc. There has nothing happened to Teuntje that we know of. It can also be caused by something internal :virus,bacteries, autoimmuundisease etc.
His eyedrainage can be clocked by the imflamation.
The inflamation also caused connective tissue from the inflammation_ source to his pupil. This tissue will never go away again and is making his pupil not round and frozen; His left eye will never react on light again.
He has secondaire glaucoma and that cant be reversed.
For now we have to monitor his weight(autoimmunedesease) and 2 x a day eyedrops for his eyepressure and 4x a day dexamethaxonedrops
The doctor couldnt give a prognosis. If his eye grows bigger we can give the eyepressuredrops 4x a day. We have to come back for his eyepressure in a couple of weeks.
His opticnerve is healthy for now, wich means he can see with his left eye . But the nerve always reacts slowly,meaning that its possible that the nerve will be damaged even if his eye will be better.
The good news is that his right eye is healthy.
