A selection of spreads from What is that Salty voice?, a publication developed in response to Ana Iti’s exhibition, I am a salt lake, at The Physics Room. The project focused on Kapara Te Hau, the salt lakes near Te Waiharakeke (Blenheim) in Te Waipounamu, a first-person narrative meditation on a body of water, minerals, and the relationship between one’s internal voice and the physical landscape.

Edited by Abby Cunnane, stills and working drawings by Ana iti throughout and written contributions by Ana iti, Colleen Maria Lenihan, essa may ranapiri and Abby Cunnane. Design by me! by @evacharlt

I’ve finally documented some of the projects I’ve been working on over the past few years with the help of the wonderful @_stephen_wells_ ! Here’s some shots of @ammonkalengakuru‘s Weather Paintings from 2022 published by @mediummediumdutyduty. The pukapuka includes an intro by @simongennard_ , paintings by Ammon, a text by Will Pollard and a conversation between Ammon and Ngahuia Harrison. I think there are a still a few copies available from Medium Duty’s website 🌸☁️🥀 by @evacharlt
