LocalGroup excited to invite you to a softcore/hardcore/software/hardware 2 days workshop + film screening in Tokyo! @030.tokyo on the 22–23 of August. 
LocalGroup has united progressive young voices who are building playful soft/hardware systems. By turning underlying structures of the tech into part of the process, we aim to demystify the knowledge behind gadget-making and create interactive experiences meant to be lived outside of online algorithms. Oscillating between SOFTCORE and HARDCORE, while building through HARDWARE and SOFTWARE, we invite you to dig in the relation between. 
PROGRAM
Day 1, August 22   Hardware workshop: 18:00–20:00 Led by Eva Ingver (@evaevaevalution ), who guides participants through hands-on circuit building and hardware logic.

LocalGroupは、東京の @030.tokyo にて、8月22日〜23日に2日間のワークショップおよびフィルムスクリーニングを開催します。

LocalGroupは、遊び心あるソフト/ハードウェアシステムを構築する、先進的な若い表現者たちによって結成されました。テクノロジーの根底にある構造をプロセスの一部に組み込み、ガジェット制作の裏側にある知識のブラックボックス化を解きほぐし、オンラインのアルゴリズムの外側で体験するインタラクティブな場を目指します。「SOFTCORE」と「HARDCORE」の間を往来し、「HARDWARE」と「SOFTWARE」を通して構築しながら、その関係性を深く探求します。

15 missed calls and a Companion necklace 🎆🎇. Sensitive to vibration, touch and movement, this piece was developed together with @miriamllin 🥂. From the first day we met, we connected over our hyper fixation with creating objects that seems to have a life, something strangely close to humanness.

This little guy is made from cables, LEDs, motions sensors, and resin.

We made a small number of them, so dm for pricing x
Also taking costume works!!

The video documentation was directed by @shelestvetrovki who very skillfully contextualised the piece by making it react to the phone’s vibration. However… you can also dance with it at the function
