May 16th, my mom decided to foster a pregnant cat,Tulip. She came into our home broken, malnourished, unloved, and scared out of her mind. Throughout each week we embraced her with all of the love we had. I got the chance to bathe her for the first time and hold her. I can vividly remember her genuine glance and silent notion of thankfulness. My mom and I had a lot of late nights and a lot of false labor scares. June 9th, God put his plans into motion for these kitties to arrive. During her birthing process I got the chance to deliver 3 of the babies and cut their umbilical cords. This was invigorating because I have plans to be a labor and delivery nurse. Although very different from human birth, it still felt just as special. This experience taught me that no matter how broken you may seem you are always worthy of love. You can be changed even in a short period of time. Today, I have the heaviest heart. I’m literally sobbing writing this, but I have comfort in knowing that these babies were born into love and never knew anything less. Mama will leave our home with a full tummy and more love than she ever could have imagined. I’m not sure how i’ll get up each day and not say good morning to my sweet little babies and give mama a kiss. Most importantly I stand by the fact that you should always leave things better than how you got them❤️ by @evalynrose
