If we could teach our kids only one thing, it’d be how to take care of themselves. Because here’s the truth: when you prioritize your health—mind, body, and soul—you show up stronger in every area of life. Success, happiness, resilience… it all starts with YOU.

When you take care of yourself, you’re not just better for yourself, you’re better for everyone around you. ♥️

While self-care alone isn’t the sole determinant of success, it provides a strong foundation for achieving personal and professional goals. It supports a balanced and sustainable approach to life, enabling individuals to perform at their best over the long term.

Prioritizing health isn’t just about fitness; it’s about having the energy (and sanity) to keep up with the chaos. Fill your cup first, so you can pour into them.

Drop a comment if you agree 👇 ♥️♥️

Summer 2026 PT. 1 ☀️🌊😎 by @evamortgages

Some events leave you inspired long after they’re over.

This night was one of those nights.

So grateful to have been part of an evening filled with incredible people, meaningful conversations, and a shared vision for what we’re building together. It’s easy to focus on business, but moments like these are a reminder that the strongest businesses are built on relationships, trust, and genuinely wanting to see each other win.

Huge thank you to Carl, Nataliya and the entire ELG team for bringing everyone together and creating such a memorable evening. We left feeling energized, grateful, and even more excited for what’s ahead.

Here’s to great people, great partnerships, and an even brighter future. ✨ by @evamortgages

Today I hit my first 25 lb weighted pull-up. 💪

The hardest part wasn’t the weight.

It was convincing myself to try.

I kept thinking, “What if I can’t do it? What if people watch me fail?”

But that’s exactly where growth happens.

The gym doesn’t just build muscle—it builds the habit of doing things that scare you.

Every time you attempt something you might fail at, you become a little more confident, a little more resilient, and a little more willing to chase bigger goals.

That mindset doesn’t stay in the gym.
It follows you into your career, your relationships, your business, and every challenge life throws at you.

Sometimes the biggest weight you have to lift is the fear of trying.

Most homebuyers assume that if one lender approves them for a certain amount...

That’s simply what they qualify for.

❌ Not true

Different lenders can look at the exact same application and come to completely different conclusions.

Why? 🤔

Because every lender has different policies around things like:

• Rental income
• Self-employed income
• Commission income
• Debt ratios

I’ve seen situations where a borrower was approved for hundreds of thousands of dollars more simply because they were placed with a lender whose policies better matched their situation.

That’s the real advantage of working with a mortgage broker.

It’s not just about getting approved.

It’s about having access to enough options to find the lender that fits your specific situation.

An unforgettable evening filled with incredible food, great wine, and even better company.

A huge thank you to @ethicaltable @fannybayoysters @phantomcreek for bringing together such a special night in support of Dr. Peter Centre. Every dish, every conversation, and every shared moment reminded us how powerful a community can be when it comes together for a meaningful cause.

A special shout-out to Ethical Table by Chef Mike Sonier whose passion, creativity, and attention to detail were on full display throughout the evening. The food was nothing short of exceptional, and it was clear how much care and thought went into every course. Thank you for creating an experience that people will be talking about long after the night ended.

Also if you haven’t tried the chili fish sauce by @anhandchi you are missing out!! 🤤

The food was incredible, the wine was outstanding, but what stood out most was being surrounded by people who genuinely care about making a difference.

If you’d like to lend a hand and support the important work being done by Dr. Peter Centre, link is in my bio to learn more 🙏 by @evamortgages

One of the most overlooked housing stories right now isn’t demand.

It’s supply.

When people hear that home sales are slowing, many assume prices must fall significantly.

But here’s the problem:

Many developers are delaying, downsizing, or cancelling projects because today’s financing and construction costs make some projects difficult to justify.

That means fewer homes are being built.

And fewer homes being built today can become a supply problem a few years from now.

This creates a strange situation:

🏠 Demand is weaker because affordability is stretched.

🏗️ Supply is also weakening because construction is slowing.

That’s one reason many economists are forecasting a period of price stagnation or modest corrections rather than a nationwide housing crash.

The biggest mistake buyers can make right now is focusing on only ONE side of the equation.

Housing prices are determined by BOTH demand and supply.

And right now, both are under pressure.
The question isn’t whether housing is slowing.
The question is which side weakens faster.

Buyers or builders?

Will Canada’s housing market move UP, DOWN, or SIDEWAYS over the next 12 months? by @evamortgages

One statistic completely changed how I look at Canada’s economy:

Roughly 75% of all household debt in Canada is tied to mortgages.

Think about that for a second.

When mortgage rates rise, most homeowners don’t suddenly stop making their mortgage payments.

Instead, they cut spending somewhere else.

Fewer restaurant visits.
Fewer vacations.
Fewer renovations.
Fewer vehicle purchases.
Less discretionary spending.

Now multiply that across millions of households renewing their mortgages at higher rates.

That’s why mortgage renewals aren’t just a homeowner issue.

They’re an economic issue.

When a large portion of Canadians are directing more of their income toward housing costs, there’s simply less money flowing into other parts of the economy.

That’s one of the reasons economists are paying such close attention to mortgage renewals over the next few years.

The story isn’t just about rates.

It’s about what happens when millions of Canadians have less financial flexibility at the same time.

📊 Are you renewing your mortgage in the next 12 months?

Canada recently entered what’s called a technical recession — two consecutive quarters of negative GDP growth.

But here’s what most headlines aren’t telling you:

A recession is a backward-looking measurement. It tells us what already happened, not necessarily what’s coming next.

In fact, this recession looks very different from what many Canadians expected.

Historically, recessions often lead to:
• Significant home price declines
• Aggressive interest rate cuts
• Financial stress in the banking system

But today:
• Home prices have softened, but haven’t crashed nationally
• Fixed mortgage rates remain elevated
• Canada’s major banks remain profitable
• Housing supply continues to be constrained in many markets

The bigger concern isn’t the recession itself.

It’s the growing pressure on Canadian households:

➡️ Mortgage renewals at higher rates
➡️ Higher debt servicing costs
➡️ Slower wage growth than many expected
➡️ Rising living expenses

That’s why many Canadians feel like they’re falling behind even though unemployment remains relatively low and the economy isn’t collapsing.

My prediction?

The next 12 months won’t be defined by a housing crash or a rate collapse.

They’ll be defined by affordability.

Affordability will determine:
• How many people buy
• How many people sell
• How much housing activity we see
• And ultimately where home prices go from here

Curious what you’re seeing firsthand.

Do you feel like Canada is in a recession?

Or does it feel more like a prolonged affordability crisis?
