Ciao, bella! 🇮🇹🎨 AP Art History looks a little different in Florence.

Eight scholars traveled to Italy on an SA-sponsored trip to experience the Renaissance firsthand. From Michelangelo’s David to Brunelleschi’s Duomo, the works they studied in class became towering, breathtaking realities right in front of them.

At SA, we want our scholars to experience the places and possibilities their studies introduce them to. This trip brought art history to life, giving them a chance to explore, follow their curiosity, and make memories far beyond the classroom.

Special shoutout to @simonmshaw for supporting our scholars and lending his art expertise on this incredible trip! 🧡 #insidesuccess by @evamoskowitz

"@SuccessAcademy has brought a lawsuit against Education Commissioner Betty Rosa in federal court," @evamoskowitz, the organization's founder and CEO, writes.

"We’ve done so to vindicate not only our right to make our results known, but also the rights of parents and policymakers to have accurate, objective data about our state’s schools. Parents can’t demand excellence if government prevents them from seeing it."

I am incredibly proud of our scholars. They earned the best AP results in Success Academy history.

But instead of receiving the recognition they deserved, their results were withheld from the public.

That is why we filed a federal lawsuit against New York State Education Commissioner Betty A. Rosa. Our scholars earned these results, and I intend to ensure their achievements are recognized. #successacademy by @evamoskowitz

AP for All isn't a slogan, it's our results. 🎓

At Success Academy, every high schooler takes 18 AP courses over their four years — because we believe rigor is for everyone, not just a select few. This year, we took that a step further and brought our 8th graders into the mix for the first time.

The result? 3,000+ scholars. Nearly 8,000 AP exams. 19 subjects. All at the Javits Center.

Our 8th graders walked in and took the AP World History exam like pros and passed at 70%.

Our Class of 2026 seniors delivered numbers that speak for themselves:

✅ 95% passed 3+ AP exams
✅ 79% passed 5+ AP exams
✅ 60% passed 7+ AP exams

For context: less than 25% of ALL U.S. grads pass even ONE AP exam in their entire high school career.

This is what happens when you refuse to lower the bar. Potential is universal. You just have to give it the room to grow. #insidesuccess by @evamoskowitz

Eva Moskowitz has built Success Academy into one of the top charter school networks in New York.

Can that model be replicated in public education nationwide?

"I don't see why it can't," she says. "Why can't every kid in New York and across America get an excellent education?"

This year, #TeamSuccess, led by Eva Moskowitz, raced in solidarity to celebrate, and raise money for, our scholars and their achievements.

The marathon is more than a race; it’s a reflection of who we are. Like running, education is an endurance sport - it takes grit, perseverance, and the belief that ambitious goals are worth striving for.

Our scholars rise to the challenge every day. We hope we made them proud. #insidesuccess by @evamoskowitz

Across the United States, the K-12 public education system is in crisis.

National test scores in reading and math have fallen to their lowest levels in 30 years. Only 31 percent of fourth-graders are proficient in reading and 36 percent in math; by eighth grade, proficiency in those subjects drops to 30 percent or lower.

For low-income children in our largest cities, public education too often fails. This is more than an education problem; it is a matter of national security and economic competitiveness. A nation that cannot prepare its young people in literacy, numeracy and critical thinking cannot maintain its economic strength, military readiness or civic health.

This summer, while our scholars enjoyed their time off, our educators were putting in the work. They engaged in intensive training, learning best practices, and preparing to deliver an exceptional year of instruction and support. They even got to hear from SA alums on how Success prepared them for college.

The message is clear: when teachers grow, scholars thrive. This is how we set the stage for excellence. #insidesuccess by @evamoskowitz

It’s been almost two weeks since I crossed the finish line of the NYC Marathon.

The excitement has subsided, but the impact of the 26.2 miles I ran to inspire our scholars, families, and educators is long-lasting.

It’s a reminder to find joy in hard things and that every day at SA, we’re helping our scholars fulfill their enormous potential — and demonstrating what’s possible for public education.

This video is a reminder that it’s not always easy, but it’s always worth it. by @evamoskowitz

I’ve never been a runner or an athlete, so at age 60, deciding to run the NYC Marathon was not ideal. But yesterday — after over a year of training — I laced up my trainers and ran 26.2 miles in a little under seven hours.

I obviously didn’t break any speed records, but that wasn’t my goal. My aim was to show solidarity with Success Academy scholars, parents, and educators — all of them running a marathon, an education marathon — every day of their own.

At first, my goal seemed impossible, but I persisted. I did a hard thing. Doing hard things matters.

Picking up my bib before the race, I met @kathrineswitzer, who made history as the first woman to run the Boston Marathon — despite efforts to remove her from the course. She did a hard thing.

When you’re in that place where something is hard, you have to keep on going. This was my mantra on Sunday and Kathrine’s on that April day in 1967, and that of our scholars, parents and educators, as we double down on scholar preparedness this school year. You just have to put one foot in front of the other. You have to have confidence in yourself.

Educating children, solving the educational crisis in our country, requires pushing our limits. It requires endurance — and sticking to the course. It’s not a sprint. At Success Academy we are redefining what is possible for public education. It’s not easy, but we can do it — and together, we can cross the finish line. taken in New York, New York by @evamoskowitz

This spring I set a goal to run the NYC Marathon. I’ve never been an athlete, and between my family and my job, finding time to train to run 26.2 miles seemed impossible.

Why do such a hard thing? Because our scholars and families are running a marathon of their own — an educational marathon. In solidarity, I am training and running a similarly hard race.

At Success, our goal is 100% of scholars prepared to go off to four-year colleges, earning robust financial aid. That takes grit and resilience. It takes all of us — educators and parents, kids and teachers — locking arms, committing to our goal, and working together as a team.

Training for the marathon is similar. Obviously, I’m capable of running. But when I’m out there, it can seem impossible. Every day between now and then is my chance to ensure I am ready — and to inspire our community to stay the course and outrun limits, to reach the finish line of our educational marathon.

10 years ago, we opened our doors to our first high school, Success Academy of the Liberal Arts Manhattan. Now, a decade later, we have three incredible high schools full of competitive arts and athletics programs, dual-enrollment opportunities with some of NYC’s most notable institutions, and 100% of our scholars accepted to 4 year colleges (a stat that has been maintained since the very first class)!

This year, we will have two graduating senior classes - our Harlem High School will celebrate its inaugural graduating class - marking another incredible milestone for our high schools. We are so excited to see our three high schools support the paths of the next generation! #insidesuccess by @evamoskowitz
