Struggling to get the barrel out front? A bunt might be the feel you’re missing. 👀

Here we’re using a bunt-to-first-base feel to help this hitter understand his barrel angle and where he needs to deliver it.

Simple feel. Then take it into the swing.

This is why we review video WITH our hitters. I want them to see it, understand it, and know what adjustment they’re trying to make. More swings only help when you know what you’re working on.

Different angles create different problems. Different problems force hitters to find solutions. 🎯

That’s why angle machine work is a staple in our program.

By changing the angle, height, and direction of the pitch, hitters learn to adjust naturally without overthinking every mechanical detail. They develop barrel awareness, adaptability, and the ability to solve problems in real time.

The game won’t always give you the same look, so your training shouldn’t either.

If angle work isn’t part of your routine, it’s time to add it.

Your next adjustment shouldn’t have to wait until your next lesson.

Your timing issue might actually be an adjustability issue.

The 3 Plate Drill trains hitters to adapt in real time by changing reaction windows with multiple plates.

Why it works:
⚾ Different plate distances force different reaction times
⚾ Your eyes learn to adjust faster
⚾ Your swing learns to stay on time under pressure

The best ability in the swing is ADJUSTABILITY.

Game speed changes constantly.
Elite hitters can adjust to it.

Average hitters can’t.

As a sophomore, Evan exploded onto the varsity stage this season and quickly became one of the most feared hitters in the state. A true middle-of-the-order bat that can hit for average, drive the baseball with authority, and change a game with one swing.

This didn’t happen overnight. Evan has been grinding since September and the work showed up in a BIG way this spring.

.418 AVG | 1.305 OPS | 15 2B | 3 3B | 4 HR | 45 RBI

Uncommitted, high-level bat with a bright future ahead. College coaches are going to want to keep a close eye on him this summer.
