R.I.P. Barrel Hannah
In February of 2020. @evan_heavy & @travstever got together to jam and decided they needed a place to create. In an old building with Barrel shaped doors they found a space. The music started right away. Countless different vibes and sounds were created in just a few short weeks. Most importantly @evan_heavy had already started working on a band with the @bja_trust the singer of his prior band @full_scale_riot The two guitar players they were working with were well known veterans of New York Hardcore @zackthorne11 and @mike_bulldoze They are most well-known as the powerhouse riff masters of @bulldoze_bdhc They had recorded one song that had no bass. Travis jumped at the chance to add bass and backround vocals. @zero__trust was born. Just a couple of weeks later the lockdowns began. In Barrel Hannah we decided we had a safe space to still get together and create in a brutal time of uncertainty. We would have to mask up and constantly test for Covid but it gave us someplace to go and create. Beyond zero trust it would go on to be used for countless different musical journeys. Travis recorded guitars for @coheed & @lsdunes albums. Evan worked on @weareleadersmusic With Evan engineering BJ worked on @muralstheband Zack Travis and Evan recorded for #skarheadnyhc and countless other projects together.
Sadly, it is time for us to say goodbye to our beloved Barrel Hannah. We will all still create. Evan and Travis will continue to make music with @christian_c_celaya over at @the_diner_music
In honor of #BarrelHannah #ZeroTrust has decided to self release the first and last song we recorded together in BH. “5 Dollar” was the first and “Distraction” was the last. We truly think they are the most powerful as well. Link is in the bio. Thank you for everything BH. #BarrelHannah #RIPBarrelHannah #zerotrust #bulldoze #coheedandcambria #lsdunes #newyorkhardcore #thedinermusic taken in Nyack, New York by @evan_heavy
