@rocklansing 2026 Recap
@nonpointband delivered exactly what fans have come to expect an absolutely explosive, high energy performance that reminded everyone why they remain one of hard rock’s premier live bands. Elias Soriano commanded the stage with unmatched charisma, constantly engaging the audience while his unmistakable vocals hit with power and precision. Behind him, the band was firing on all cylinders, delivering thunderous grooves, razor sharp riffs, and crushing rhythms that fueled circle pits and nonstop crowd participation. Every song was met with deafening singalongs as the crowd fed off the band’s relentless intensity. Decades into their career, Nonpoint continues to perform with the hunger of a band fighting for every fan, making their Rock Lansing headlining appearance one of the defining performances of the entire weekend.

@rocklansing 2026 Recap

@dedofficial didn’t just hit the main stage at Rock Lansing 2026 they detonated it. Even with the awkward distance between the stage and the crowd due to the weather and the baseball field, the band unleashed a relentless wall of crushing riffs, bone rattling grooves, and explosive energy that never let up. Frontman Joe Cotela commanded the crowd with raw intensity, while the entire band delivered a performance that was as tight as it was ferocious.

Ded left the Lansing crowd sweaty, exhausted, and begging for one more song. Pure aggression. Pure adrenaline. Pure metal. - @evanjthomas @evanjphoto1

@rocklansing 2026 Recap

@blacktopmojo proved exactly why they’re one of the most electrifying live bands in rock as they took over the main stage at Rock Lansing 2026.

Not only are they one of my favorite bands but I had the incredible honor of introducing the band before they hit the stage, and from the first note, they owned the crowd. With crushing riffs, powerhouse vocals, and nonstop energy, Blacktop Mojo delivered a set that was equal parts Southern swagger and hard rock intensity. Their performance wasn’t just one of the highlights of the festival it was a reminder that authentic, high powered rock and roll is alive and well. Blacktop Mojo didn’t just play the main stage... they absolutely dominated it. - @evanjthomas @evanjphoto1

A Moment Frozen in Summer

July 23, 2016. Tinley Park, Illinois.

The sun hung high above the crowd as thousands of voices echoed across the grounds of the final cross country era of @vanswarpedtour . It was hot, loud, chaotic, and absolutely perfect.

Standing in the photo pit, camera in hand, I watched as @joelmadden stepped to the microphone. No elaborate stage production. No giant video screens. No pyrotechnics. Just a band, a crowd, and a connection that had been built over two decades.

Behind the dark sunglasses, Joel carried the calm confidence of someone who had seen every side of the music industry. Yet in that moment, he wasn’t a celebrity or a veteran musician. He was simply the voice of a generation that grew up with songs about feeling different, feeling lost, and finding a place to belong.

As @goodcharlotteband launched into song, the audience became one giant choir. Every lyric was shouted back with the same passion it had carried when fans first discovered the band years earlier. Looking through the lens, you could see reflections of the crowd in Joel’s sunglasses a fitting symbol of what Good Charlotte had always represented. The fans were part of the story.

This photograph captures a brief second in time. A breath between lyrics. A moment of focus before another chorus exploded from the stage. The tattoos, the microphone, the backward cap, the unmistakable presence of a frontman who helped define an era of pop punk.

What makes the image special isn’t just who’s in it. It’s what it represents.

Warped Tour was more than a festival. It was a summer home for misfits, dreamers, punks, metalheads, and kids searching for their identity through music. On this day in Tinley Park, Joel Madden stood at the center of that world once again, reminding everyone why Good Charlotte’s songs had endured.

Years later, the photo serves as a reminder of a different time in music a time when Vans Warped Tour rolled into town and, for one day, created a community unlike any other.

One photograph.

One voice.

One unforgettable summer memory. 📸🤘
