Setting up these older fox 2.0 coilovers for @crabbymaddness they got a full rebuild, custom valving and pistons setup for his baja and how he plans to drive it, foam bumps to cushion G outs and save his back, and 9 position compression adjusters to adjust for mellow cruising to jumping and big whoops. New eibach springs that let him take the shocks out easier and have more bottom out control. Tons of adjustment in this shock package to get Mikes baja dialed in. Should be going testing by end of this month by @evanls55

@terracrew Speed Metal was a first for me. I’ve been before but for @overbudgetbajas and shoot pics. This time the green machine was ready. Honestly I was nervous before the first session, the jumps are doubles and somewhat blind so you have to commit. Thankfully the car worked pretty well and was able to follow a truck over the bigger double and then just went for it on the second one as I got a feel for the distance and speed needed. Overall the car worked amazing. I did make a front shock adjustment before and that worked out. I ran out of time to adjust the rear and it showed. Rear was a little soft and springy so that is next to add rebound and adjust the cross over rings down a little bit. Speed Metal is a different animal that really exposes a cars weak points. Also a worn out tensor doesn’t really hook up that well, and my clutch was done by the end of the day. Easily one of the funnest days I’ve ever had in my baja and ripping with the 1450 trucks at the end of the day was a highlight. just to know what kinda speed the car is capable of, made all the time and money spent well worth it.

Next event is the @empi_inc Open House June 20th so get those cars ready, it’s going to be a good event!

2 years of this car being broken but life happens. Plus a welded 4th gear syncro turned into a Mendeola 2d, microstub 3x5 arms, 4piston brakes, new rear shocks and new front shocks. Basically back-halved the car for the Mendeola since the geometry is so different. Took the car to @tcb_ranch for a shakedown and it felt good right away. All the upgrades worked how I planned them. The new trailing arms definitely have more travel and feel great. The new shocks and base tune are good and with more adjustments will do what I want them to do. The biggest upgrade was the trans, which @ranchotransaxles handled for me and setup the gearing perfectly. I always have the power on tap when I want it. Honestly it was one of the most fun and rewarding days I’ve ever had in that car. Going to keep working on it and hope to see everyone at @terracrew Speed Metal May 16th in the Baja Bug class!

@overbudgetbajas take over @tcb_ranch. A day full of fun, ear to ear grins, cool cars, dust, gas, dirt, and cool people. It was so much fun to watch everyone enjoy their cars on an awesome track. Oh, and did we mention the angry ninja turtle is BACK BABY!!
