This was the single most crazy experience.

Instead of continuing to freelance - I felt in my gut like I needed to experience something new for a while, so I applied for the kind of travel I could afford (camp counselling), moved out of my London flat, said goodbye to my friends and family and spent nine weeks in the woods in Maine as a camp counsellor (mostly as a boating counsellor).

It did more than I could possibly have imagined for my soul and my brain - I feel kind of changed?!

The other counsellors are amazing, the kids were feral (I have some stories), I love water even more than I did and the light in Maine does that golden thing where everything looks soft and the mountains look blue taken in Bridgton, Maine by @evannakappos

Started with the @primevideo Craft Academy apprenticeship in December and just finished my first placement of the scheme with @mindhousetv 🙏

It was so much fun and I love the people I worked with - going to miss them all and working on the documentary a lot!

I have a lot of self consciousness about my very Greek nose that I inherited from my dad and my eye bags and a bunch of other things that don’t really matter, but they make me struggle to stay still in photos. It’s like I think if I move enough the camera won’t catch me, and I know I’m not the only one that gets like that.

But then this week I got really inspired by @poxlin and decided that instead of being self conscious - I would use those things to express myself; drawing attention to them with make up instead of hiding. I know there are more important things in the world but I can’t recommend this enough - after I’d put all these colours on, I felt so so myself, even after wiping it all off hours later by @evannakappos

I kept filming my friends singing their whole hearts out to @xboygeniusx - I couldn’t help it - they have and are and will be so much and I love them.

Also @lucydacus lyrics had me happy crying

Basically life is warm and if I can spend more Sunday afternoons covered in grass with friends, this will be a good life taken in London, United Kingdom by @evannakappos

I can’t imagine doing life without you as a bestie and I’m so fecking proud to not only know you but see everything you do!

You made moving to London and the pandemic not only do-able (through lots of phone calls and crying and laughing) but filled both of them with amazing moments xxx

2023 so far, in which…
I dye my hair brunette and am unsure about it, start feeling creative again, am a runner for a day, drink lots of coffee, London gets frosty, discover butter makes pesto better, dress up as Steve from Stranger things, love my friends and stay up too late laughing, complete a course of CBT and feel lighter, have my first baby Guiness shot, my flatmates and I find a new home and my cat falls asleep on a notebook by @evannakappos
