The summer I fell even more deeply in love with New York City.

I spent so much quality time with some of the best people I know. I witnessed the magic of the World Cup and Knicks in 5, reignited my passion for running after a hiatus since graduate school, and started working out after a hiatus since birth. I chipped away at my “26 Firsts” in ’26, made more time to walk slowly and look up, and said yes to more.

I was also reminded that Polo shirts rival jean jackets as my entire personality — and I’m not sorry.

Malta has been on my travel list for over a decade and I finally conquered it. It’s an independent nation once ruled by the Phoenicians, Greeks, Romans, Arabs, French, and British — the influence is evident. It’s a beautiful, warm, welcoming, and unexpected destination with so much to explore in each town and bay. Malta is a great alternative to other more popular Mediterranean destinations. Joining the Schmidt family on a journey through southern Germany was such a joy filled experience. We meandered through Christkindlmarkts, ate our weight in bretzels, sampled all the glühwein, and visited the towns they used to call home. What an amazing week in Utah! I spent time with old friends and left with new friends. I lost my voice at a private concert with Gwen Stefani, hit the slopes in Park City, met four Bravolebrities, and laugh/cried so hard that my contact fell out. It’s challenging to sum up a trip to the South of France other than to say it’s always a good idea. Each town is more charming than the last, every bottle of rosé more delicious, each baguette crispier. I had always wanted to visit Copenhagen but didn't expect to fall for the city the way I did. I was taken by the warmth of the people, overwhelmed by the incredible food scene, amused by Tivoli, intoxicated with the local beer (I'm talking to you Mikkeller), loved the jazz festival and was delighted to simply walk and see where the city would take me.
