Base-camping.
Yes, it’s about the line, weather, snow and staying alive.
But, what I think is special about it is… the people. You get these unplugged moments to share stories, bath in the wonder of the natural world, create inside jokes and really listen. You are an ecosystem.

Just want to say thank you to @patagonia_snow for bringing us all together. @sacredstoke for your wisdom, @alischroeder being basecamp glue, @colleen_gentemann our rock & @foto__joe it’s amazing what you can do with food.

It’s taken a long time to get here...

The first time I saw this Rogers Pass classic was on my first trip up to the Asulkan Hut. I had no idea what glacier travel was or how difficult ski touring truly was; I was maxed out just reaching the hut. Years later some friends completed this traverse in one day and I was absolutely mind blown and inspired. It’s taken me years of mentorship, courses and time in the mountains to put it all together. I needed to gain fitness, skills, mental fortitude and ability to be a good partner in the mountains. This truly was a @girlsdoski moment for me. A cultivation of a seed sown and watered over years. A friendship with the mountains that just keeps getting deeper and blooming.

Needed some time to digest all the goodness of the @patagonia_snow Human Powered tour ❤️

First thank you to @lindsay_laine for all the hard work organizing. As a fellow organizer, I see you!

I’m still thinking about the power and vulnerability that @sacredstoke & @zahanbillimoria shared in there talks. Deep appreciation for sharing your journeys.

Thank you to the @wornwear team for being such great humans and inspiring us all to learn how to fix our own gear. I can now fix zippers (50% of the time 😂)

Shout outs to @jb_cotte / @roosvdweerd/ @jordynromero/ @jordanpchiu/ @bob_not_bob/ @adellli / @maximvidricaire for being the glue to this event.

FACTS:
-we played this song before dropping into every run
-we decided we’ve made some good life choices to be dropping into these ski runs at noon on a Tuesday
-the shadows were magic
-we covered all topics on the skin track. Including naming one thing we love about ourselves
-what is life without friends who want to see around the next corner

Life isn’t about being perfect. It’s about trying.

I’ve been thinking about creating an @girlsdoski online ski course for a long time now. Like many things in my life, I just went for it without fully realizing how hard it would be. Building out our STANCE online freeskiing program turned out to be a much bigger lift than I expected — and honestly, it made me uncomfortable.

For years, I’ve let my skiing do the talking instead of me speaking in front of the camera. This was a real growth edge for me. But it also helped me realize how deeply I want to share what I’ve learned about skiing.

This course dives into technical skills, mindset, and the nervous system — because how we move, think, and feel are all connected.

The pre-sale is now live and the course launches Feb 5 🤍
So grateful for the incredible team who helped turn this idea into reality by @evans_leah
