We just finished respiratory this semester and I’ve started to really gain an appreciation for the interconnectedness of the systems of our body and with the world. I’ve been working to understand what medicine means in art and the intimate understanding of life it gives you. I’ve been painting for 10 years professionally and I always try to think about what art means to myself and the people who enjoy it. Hopefully this painting continues the exploration into these questions. by @evansharma

I tend to work quickly for the first 95% of the painting but the last 5% takes a few weeks to get just right. Sometimes it turns out well and sometimes it just needs more experimenting and some big changes.This painting is inspired by the cardiology content I learned in medical school and aimed to capture the human spirit of adventure. We just finished cardiology in school and I’ve been tinkering with the idea of using the cardiovascular system as the “frame” of the human just as some paintings use line or negative space. This piece illustrates the unending human spirit of adventure with the limiting factor that makes us human: our reliance on a muscle pumping blood. Acrylic on canvas. 48” x 60”. 2026 by @evansharma

2024 had some unreal momentsI had my first solo art show @queensuisabel My work joined the collection of the New York Stock Exchange with the help of @einsteinofwallst I helped create a children’s book about entrepreneurship working with THE entrepreneur himself @harley I got a studio in NYCI made some art for some amazing peopleI got to spend time with the most awesome friends and family by @evansharma

On Sunday September 22 @2:30pm I’m talking about my art and and a bunch of other cool things at the Isabel Bader Centre in Kingston Ontario. Also it’s free! Come and check it out! My exhibit in the art and media lab at the Isabel Bader Centre runs until September 27 on weekdays from 10 am - 4 pm.
