Exposing myself and some horrible riding here 🙈
Galloping into an intermediate fence and then pushing without seemingly any brain cells for my reasoning as to why, should probably be on my list of top ten things never to try, but we live to tell he tale cos of insanely scopey Ollie who still makes it look small 🙈😭

Think I also traumatised @buchanlizzie stood right there videoing (luckily @luke_leslie72 was too nervous to be on course to see this - probs for the best or she would have had a nervous breakdown 🤣🤣🤣)

Hopefully this fills @pip_and_marv with confidence of just how mega Oll is, if he can do this much babysitting of me at intermediate 🤣🤣

Saw someone else make this video and I just had to hop on the trend as I related to it so much 😭🫡

Upton Intermediate - my first intermediate and it was HUGE 😍🤪🙈
Ollie yet again proving why he’s the best horse in the world 🙌🏻🫒❤️
A 34 dressage where he went really nicely just with a few obvious mistakes from me, so really pleased with the mark for our first one together and clear areas that can easily be fixed!!
2 poles sj which in not really bothered about as he felt incredible and we both had a great time, and I expected a few poles with the step up!
Most importantly, CLEAR xc!! I honestly didn’t think it was possible to jump some of those rails and tables the size of me, and the trickiest lines I’ve seen too, but he’s an absolute beast and kept me safe the whole way round too of course ❤️
Also weren’t that far off the time considering I wasn’t worrying about it and was just riding him at the pace he likes to go at!
Overall finished 13th in a competitive section!!
Thrilled with my special boy, couldn’t have asked for a better first intermediate ❤️❤️
What a week - becoming an international winner and intermediate rider on two different horses in the space of 4 days!! Feeling very lucky 🥰🥹❤️❤️

Thank you everyone (who I’ve already tagged about a day ago in Cyril’s post so I won’t annoy you all by tagging again!)
And thank you @coopereventinganddressage @owenandkatieequestrian @marygopsill for selling us this amazing horse - he truly is my best pal 🥹 and Owen for all of your help yesterday walking courses and warming me up!!

Got another 3 pics to post, a xc video to come, full event video to make (as well as squirrel’s one and xc one!!) so lots to post atm 🙈🙈🤪🤪🙌🏻🙌🏻

Tinkas Secret - The King 🕊️❤️💔❤️‍🩹

This morning after a brief battle with colic we made the heartbreaking decision to put kingston to rest.

We couldn’t have asked for a better place for him to live out his retirement, where he has been able to live like the king he is and be as sassy and naughty as he wants and be so well cared for and loved right to the end.
Also very lucky that it was all very quick, and he was his usually naughty cheeky self only yesterday ❤️

No thank you will ever be enough to this pony - my first proper competition pony - the first partner out of the start box, always bringing me home safe and smiling - the pony I truly have everything to thank for - not just for all the opportunities he gave me, but without him I would never have been able to ride any of the horses I’ve been lucky enough to have after him.

I just wish I could see his cheeky face, even have him try to bite me again and (force him😂) into one more kiss and cuddle just one more time ❤️‍🩹

Thank you my king - I will miss you, be in debt to you and love you forever and ever my cheeky, naughty, talented, wise, lovely boy. Cause chaos up there like I know you will little man 💔❤️‍🩹❤️🕊️

The song used always reminds me of king and all the things that he’s done - what a career he had and what a soldier he was, looking after and teaching so many people and in return, being SO loved ❤️

Cyril’s full round from our first intermediate together where he just ate it up and skipped round like it was no big deal to him 🙈🤪

Can’t believe it’s been over a year since I last saw Ollie and he went to his new home 🥹

I genuinely miss him every day. I know how lucky I am to have Cyril but not a single competition goes by where I don’t have a small thought about how much fun Oll and I would have 🙈 and you only have to talk to me to know how much I bring him up still like he’s mine 🤣

He truly is the best horse in the world and I will forever be grateful for all he taught me and prepared me for in order to step up and be able to ride Cyril ❤️

He was also the best friend and provider of cuddles - my bestest pal and there will always be an ollie shaped hole in my heart but also in the whole family, as he was a key part in it for what felt like ages.

However tough, I know that this was the best decision and we couldn’t have found a better home for him where he is so loved and having so much fun - this horse deserves to be treated like a king and someone’s number one and he truly has landed on his feet with @pip.ollie.eventing ❤️❤️

There is no feeling quite like jumping with the olive. I will forever miss the feeling he gave me and cherish the memories and carry them with me. None of what I have achieved and hopefully will continue to achieve would have been possible without him. I owe him the world🌍

I was so torn on selling him because I love him so much, but I know it’s the right, less selfish decision as I watch him make another person’s dreams come true 🥹❤️

Thank you again for always keeping me safe and bringing me home no matter my awful missers and mistakes, and the COUNTLESS happy memories. See you soon mr olivier 🫒❤️❤️🥰

Cyril giving me probably one of the best rounds of both of our lives at the weekend, stepping up to intermediate 😎🤪❤️🐿️❤️‍🔥
He is so mega and there is so much more to come and things to polish so I am very excited for the future - we had so much fun out there🤪🤪

First intermediate as a pair ✅🐿️❤️🤪
Amazing day with Squirrel at Frickley!! Another day where I enjoyed every phase?!! 🙈
A lovely 32.5 dressage, 3 down sj which don’t reflect how amazing he felt, I just needed a bit more canter round a big and undulating track but he tried for me and felt great so am still thrilled and feel so close to cracking it!!
Absolute mega round a big bold xc, he made it feel like not even a step up just popping round some serious fences - so so lucky to be on such a scopey horse who seems to find it rather easy!
Really excited for the future and grateful for all the help and support we have had to get to this stage and how far we have come!!

🥇🐿️😍
My mega boy giving me the dream ride in all phases in our step up at dauntsey intermediate novice a few weeks ago, to finish on a 30.9 double clear with a little time to take the win in a small but tight class!!! 🥇🥇😍😍🕺🕺

So pleased with him all day I couldn’t fault him!!
Days like this remind me how far we have come and how lucky I am - results aside he just felt class all day and we both had so much fun if you can’t tell by my smiles 🥹❤️

We were meant to be stepping up to intermediate at Aston last week, but sadly our lorry decided to not play ball so we were unable to go, which was probably a good thing and a sign as we were due to go xc in the middle of the heat and I had already been rather worried and unsure on running him so it made a tricky decision for me!!
We are rerouting to frickley this weekend so fingers crossed, though I don’t really know what to expect compared to Aston, as a step up… but just gotta get stuck in and 🤞🏽🤞🏽 for another fun day!!!

This account was created as a memory log for myself to track my progress - I was looking through old vids of Cyrilly and decided to make a comparison.

It wasn’t the easiest start to our partnership with us both being completely different to what the other was used to and lacking trust in each other which lead to us both being stressed!
Then once we got better, I stupidly seemed fixated on the worry of not having more time to work on our partnership and the results I put pressure on myself to get were never gonna come with uni fast approaching and felt like giving up rather than wasting a few months still at the basics to then have to sell him to go to uni, having not got to the fun stuff and reward.
After taking a pause (and a lot of guidance) and deciding to take a second gap year I finally managed to chill and just enjoy the process without worrying about results or moving up quickly and now I finally feel like we are a proper team. Cyril has ended up bringing me wins at BE including one at international level; I’ve jumped my first foxhunter on him; we’ve qualified for medium area finals BD and we are hoping for a successful step up to intermediate next week 🤞🏽 this is not to say we are perfect now: I ride like an idiot a lot of the time but this video just shows what a completely different horse he is and how our partnership has improved - he has become so forgiving of me now he understands what I want and I just can’t believe what we have achieved so far considering how three years ago we were literally tripping over small fences 😭🤣

I’m so excited for the future and so grateful for everyone who has been so patient in supporting me and squirrel’s journey. I think the absolute world of this horse, especially xc - it’s like going round with my best pal which is even more special when it’s taken some time for us to understand each other!

I really believe he is the most talented horse I have ever ridden and I’d love to keep proving that he is and doing him justice but must also remember to just enjoy being lucky enough to ride such a legend!! ❤️❤️🐿️🐿️

Tagged just some of the people who have and continue to help us improve!!
(Soppy post over lol) by @eve.leslie.eventing

A pretty near perfect, dream day out eventing today with the best boy 🥹❤️🥇
We stepped up to do our first intermediate-novice to end up doing a 30.9 dressage and a DOUBLE CLEAR to WIN!!!
There weren’t many in the section, but i couldn’t be more delighted, as he just felt so confident and straight on his lines and properly tried especially sj, tucking his legs in 🥹 he was just a dream to ride all day!! One of those days where every phase was enjoyable!! ❤️❤️

Felt like the perfect run before making the full step up to intermediate soon, so fingers crossed 🤞🏽🤞🏽🍀🍀

Just love my pony - so delighted with how consistent he’s been this season so far, even when I’ve been questionnable 🤣🥹

Thank you so much to everyone who helps us to be on form and make days like this one possible - there’s too many people to tag, and everyone’s probs fed up of all the mentioning, but I’m sure you all know who you are 🫶🫶 I’m so lucky 🥰

Cyrilly being such a good boy BS at the weekend in our first foxhunter together and the newcomers 🌟🐿️

A lovely round in the newcomers for an annoying rider error pole at the last 🙈🙈 but the rest felt mega and I couldn’t fault him!!
The fox was HUGE 🫣 he was absolutely mega - 4 poles fell, but as u can see in the video - no disasters or horrible missers, we just didn’t quite jump high enough 🤣 I have a plan for next time in how to improve, in terms of my straightness and keeping my leg on into a fence as I can go a bit passive on the last stride 🫠
Anyway, in terms of how he was going I was delighted - I really enjoyed the round as it all felt lovely and relaxed and he was with me, in a lovely rhythm. Overall, a great first attempt with lots to work on, but honestly I’ve never been so happy to come out with 4 poles as he was just so lovely to ride and we had some great jumps, it didn’t feel like a car crash just one of those things where I felt the poles didn’t reflect the round in my opinion!

If you’d told me just 2 years ago that I’d be having 4 poles at 1.20 rather than going bowling at 100 I’d never believe you - shows how far we have come 🤣🤣
Just love him ❤️
